I walked down that road again
hoping to find you
but only the echo of your laughter
accompanies me at this moment.
The trees whisper in the wind
our best kept secret,
of that intense love
that was lost in the past.
The old oak by the river
speaks to me with its wisdom,
comforts me in my challenge
to move forward each day.
And so, amidst shadows and memories
I continue to walk without a destination,
on that road that joins our destinies
even though you are no longer with me.
