Too bad my big break had to occur under such unfortunate circumstances. I was monitoring the police band when an urgent police call came in.
Homicide.
We rushed to the scene of the crime and it was ghastly. I got the story but also got a reality check about humanity.

The story MUST be precisely 50 words long
Although it's brief and exciting, I can't seem to locate the "crew" in this.
Since I'm still new to this, do we need to define "crew" or at the very least include the word in our short stories?
Just curious, really. I will read a few examples from what others have provided because I intended to participate in this challenge earlier.
This is the first one where I specifically did not include the word "crew" in the story itself. I normally work it in and I did use in the summary.
