As the choir of mosquitoes descended on us that evening, he whispered, "It bugs me that they make all this godawful noise and yet can creep in, settle down, don napkins, and the only time I'd notice is when they stick a fork in my flesh."

In the above submission, I went for two definitions: a bug as an insect and to bug someone- an annoyance.
