THE INTERNET AND FRIENDSHIP

Nowadays, almost everything is done online.
This ranges from the display of love or affection to a loved one; the wooing of a prospective lover, crush or admirer; the sale of products, services and advertisement of businesses, amongst other things.

This equally becomes an effective means to connect with people across the globe in a bid to gain or build new friendships.
Again, it becomes a cheap medium to show off a newly- sewn attire, a property acquired or just another means to showcase one's luxurious lifestyle which could blind one's enemies or make others feel less of themselves.

Then again, it becomes the sweetest medium to send birthday wishes/messages to friends, acquaintances, siblings, relatives and colleagues.
Speaking of birthdays, have you ever noticed that only a few friends of yours would call to bless you with good wishes over the phone?
Majority of 'em would post pictures of you, attached with short or lengthy deep sweet messages that would make you wonder if you are still made from dust like every other human. What baffles me most, is how some people go to the extent of begging online friends in their dm's to make a birthday post of them like it's a do or die affair. 🙄

Nevertheless, the bitter truth is that, almost everyone packages online. Only a few would be bold enough to tell you their true stories of an unforeseen trip to hell and back.
The fact remains that, 'those who you think are your friends online, aren't truly your friends in reality'. If you doubt me, go offline for a few days or weeks; only then shall you know who truly cares.

Thus, whatever you do, I just hope you know that F.R.I.E.N.D.S fight for you, respect you, include you, encourage you, need you, deserve you and stand by you.
So look within your circle for these attributes; and if you can't find any, then it's time to find a new circle.

Oprah Winfrey once said:
"Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down".

So who's checking up on you when your presence is offline?
Think about it today!🤔
