Somewhere in the mountains of Japan there is an old, abandoned monastery. It has sat empty for years since a violent battle made the Order of the Phoenix extinct.
“Deathstryke” Cyan Komar walks through the place. It’s damaged from battle magics and firepower that must have been used when whomever swept through here attacked.
Old bodies litter the floor where they have either picked clean by scavengers or rotted away inside Shocktrooper carapace armor.
Cyan Komar: Could they really all be gone?
Thus begins a room to room search as Cyan begins to look for something, but what?
He ends in a grand room where once stood the display of the treasures of the Order of the Phoenix. It is here where he finds the charred corpse of his father. He kneels down by the body and takes its hand that cracks and crumbles in his grasp.
Cyan Komar: I am sorry, father. I did not know that my words would bring about your end. I did not know that they would sweep through here and kill…everyone. I will do as I once had been tasked with. I will use the Phoenix Egg and the Talon of the Phoenix to be the sacrifice as foretold to bring about the Rebirth of the Order.
He glances over to the altar where once the sword and egg once were stored. Empty, as is every other single shelf in the room. Scrolls of sacred techniques, specialized weapons, mstic treasures, and artifacts taken from enemies and stored here so they could not be used.
All gone.
The real blow is the loss of the Phoenix Egg. Without this special crystal that always seems to burn as if from an internal flame, there is no hope for the sacrifice to work.
Cyan Komar: I have to find out who was sent to destroy my brethren.
A cursory search turns up many Shocktroopers in the white carapace armor of the Warhammer Corporate Security, the private army of the company. A few are in the black armor and identification symbols of the Black Guard that is controlled by Xian Tsar. While they are normally used to forcibly recruit for Warhammer, they must have been tapped to lead the invasion of this monastery.
Cyan clenches his fists until bright blood drips from the palms of his hands to the dirty floor.
Cyan Komar: I will find Xian Tsar and destroy him to avenge the death of my family and then I will reclaim the Egg so I can make the sacrifice to bring them all back.
We can see Cyan making the hike from the monastery back to the landing pad where a Warhammer Corporate helicopter is waiting for him. He is seething with anger, but tries to keep himself under control.
Cyan Komar: Sheik. I am no mere assassin. I have done wetwork in the past, but I’m more of an all around black operation person. More Call of Duty cosplay than Assassin’s Creed. Get it right. Also, I am no Zoran. You won’t find me swinging a sword in the ring during our battle. I will not stab you with a knife. I will bring you down from your high horse and punish you until you surrender the match to me. You won’t be able to “break me down” when I am knocking you out. Expose me? You’ll be exposed to a fighting style that you have not come against before. All of your training will not have prepared you for me. I have the talent that will bring glory to the West Coast title once again.
Natalie Burrows. You have been silent so far for this match, but I have heard of your exploits in other places. You think you are a challenge, but quite simply put, you are not. Sure, you may have defeated a fae creature in the form of Majestyand yes, he may have saved your life when the Fireside arena burned to the ground, but that does not make you a superior fighter to me.
I will kick you around the ring before throwing you out so I can destroy the Sheik and pin him without you even being a factor in this match. You just keep silent and you’ll be well taken care of as you deserve.
Cyan gets into the waiting helicopter and it begins to lift up into the sky to where Cyan can get an aerial view of what was once his home so many years ago. Tehuai Zetian will be able to manage the kids on her own. This is a sacrifice that he has to make to undo all of his wrongs against his family. They will understand…
