We run around everyday to satisfy hunger. Hustle from morning till night to put food on out table.
I took a walk to the market today as I'm still a bachelor. The scene was so enticing as the sellers display their various commodities waiting for the customers to come and buy.
Today been Saturday, sellers had projected a huge sales as most salary earners will do some shopping today.
Of course it's a local but we'll stocked market in Nigeria.
The first that entered my eyes was the fresh beef as Sunday is fast approaching.
I would love to garnish my rice with much meats to spice up my day. Nigerians like meat and most Nigerians can't eat a bowl of foot without meat making the business a lucrative one.
Aside the beef, they also buy chicken, pork, chevon, mutton and fish. It all depends on choice. I prefer beef.
Another substitute for meat is the animal skin (kpomo). It's gotten from the skin of cattle. Very soft and delicious. It aids in digestion. It comes in various types.
The smell may deter you but trust me, when it's well washed and prepared. You will enjoy it.
My Sunday won't be complete without some balls of tomatoes, as Nigerians prefer to take rice and stew on Sunday.
Well garnished with other condiments, will make your Sunday a memorable one.
The Onion is a vegetable used to prepare stew and soup. To give my rice that wonderful swag, I go for an Onion.
Variety they said is the spice of life a small of vegetable won't be a bad idea as we have varieties of nutritious vegetables to produce sumptuous meals.
Ugu, bitterleaf, water leaf, scent leaf, anara leaf to mention but a few.
To add some fruits, I go for coconuts as we can use it to eat many things like Tapioca, fried corn etc.
My journey would never be complete if I don't add some grains and garri to my list. They are my sources of protein and carbohydrate.
It was a memorable journey as I have succeeded in filling my Tommy.
Journey with me next time.
