I don't love you like I used to

I don't love you like I used to, that's true,
the hours slip away, time is a desert.
The pulsations shot out, like a spun heartbeat,
have calmed in the dust of a crumbled love.
The butterflies in the stomach, long ago departed,
From that leafy garden, where together they blossomed.
Every love song is a distant echo,
no longer speaks of us, but of an unhealthy past.
The lyrics blur, and the memories fade away,
like ink in the rain, which no longer knows how to love.
Of those shared laughs, barely a thread remains,
a distant sigh that drags a sparkle.
I no longer look in your eyes for the light that keeps me awake,
For now they are mirrors that reflect sorrow.
Of what was and is not, of what will not be,
there is an embrace of the past, in its shadow, a rebirth.
I don't love you like before, who'd say it's sincere?

Beautiful as ever, each word carefully chosen. I liked the ink in the rain which with the image of time is like a desert speaks to the impermanence of things. Did you try 'the memories fade away, the lyrics blur' I think it will follow nicely into the next line. I also really liked the contrasting images of the butterflies in the stomach and the mirrors that reflect sorrow. Your ending is impressive, asking us to reflect and avoids an obvious sentimental resolution. Overall a really well crafted, heart felt poem,
