So I decided to show all of who I am to the world. 
I know I have a lot of “Jesus Imagery” I promise it’s not a messiah complex. If you haven’t checked me out on YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram just search Oldschoolzen or look at my profile. This one gets real. I know it’s more of a song, but it’s what I do.
How many times have these moonlight colored tears run down my cheeks
I’m just laying here restless, alone, feeling your ghost chill me to the bone.
I only ask cause it’s been happening for weeks
And I really think it’s time I get some sleep.
An electric guitar playing notes only I know knocks me out with a phantom kiss
So many whammy bar dreams of a time much simpler than this
A time when my life was more than questions
Where promises mattered and I could look at my reflection
I don’t know what to do with all this madness
Psychedelic nightmares keep me from embracing this sadness
I’ve been baptized with pain, they got it on tap
25 cents, a quarter, an empty screen in my lap
I sit here wondering, if 911 is really the only ones gonna call me back
I know this song is confusing but damn so are you
I don’t like the way the way its unfolding but it’s a kick ass tune
So come on down pull up a chair it’s a one man band
Listen to my soul play electric guitar slow burn with one hand
The other ones busy on the phone hello, 911, sorry to call so late
Nah I’m ok just makin sure the phone works, called by mistake
No no, really I’m good, don’t send 5-0

No dude I really don’t know where I wanna go
There’s no reason to get salty my man, just drive the damn taxi
This is my dream and I want you to go where I said to take me
Well I wasn’t talking just for the hell of it
I don’t see how my mother is going to fix things or how it’s relevant
Hey man quit looking at me stay in your lane
Nah man, I’m good just trying to get back to those days
Dude I just want to get there before the dream ends that’s all.
Yeah I’m crying asshole, I miss my baby doll.

Covered in sweat, I woke up angry
Feeling like a chump for even caring if she hates me.
I’m just trying to make sense of it all, this lost connection.
I don’t really care about the past, I’m just tired of asking the same questions
If your out there, if any part of the real you still exists under all the haze and alcohol
Just know that I’m strong enough to catch you when you fall.
I really don’t know what happens past that you haven’t done me right.
I’m just trying to get you out of this mess, and get you out alive.
Great poem. I like the mix between the first person and the other voices that appear or are suggested, which help keep the rhythm of the poem.

Very cool poem, I really like when you speak in third person, a great combination, by the image I thought you were going to talk about Jesus, a hug and happy day.
