Oh my goodness that grandfather poem is fantastic! I love that one so much. Nice use of gerunds, framing the the whole shebang, beginning and endings. Great!

Snakes … they’re funny. Sometimes you only hear them, so you know something’s there, and you’re pretty sure it’s a snake, but then you have to find them, and while you’re looking, all kinds of things go through your head.
