My family of three traveled to Nasu for a relaxing family vacation! Nasu is a tourist area located in the northern part of Tochigi Prefecture that offers beautiful natural surroundings, hot springs, and an abundance of family-friendly tourist attractions. Located approximately 150 km from Tokyo, it is a popular destination for relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This travel is to enjoy Hoshino Resort Risonare Nasu! Therefore, our destination is only here and not in other places! My 3-year-old son, who would have been bored in a normal hotel, was never bored here.
✈︎About Risonare Nasu
Risonare Nasu is a resort hotel surrounded by beautiful nature in the town of Nasu, Tochigi Prefecture. Located about 40 minutes by car from Nasushiobara Station, guests can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons. The hotel offers a relaxing space surrounded by trees, high-quality hot springs, delicious cuisine, and a full range of facilities for those with children. It is an ideal lodging facility where the whole family can enjoy a healing time together.
Day 1: Departure & Arrival at Risonare Nasu
✈︎Road to Risonare Nasu
After buying a box lunch at Tokyo Station, we boarded the Tohoku Shinkansen “Nasuno” train to Nasu Shiobara. The trip takes about 70 minutes and is easy with children. My son was excited to see the bullet train and enjoyed the scenery from the window. My three-year-old son was excited about the bullet train and enjoyed the view from the train window, and I had a comfortable trip with my lunch and beer.
I have been traveling by car a lot lately, but the Shinkansen is still nice and easy!
Once you arrive at Nasushiobara Station, it will take about 40 minutes to get to Risonare Nasu by free shuttle bus that you have reserved in advance. Chuck-in starts at 3:00 p.m. and the shuttle bus runs accordingly.
✈︎ First Impressions
With the concept of agriturismo, a trip to enjoy country life, you are in the midst of rich nature when you arrive. The entrance is surrounded by trees, and the design is in harmony with nature. The warm welcome and smooth check-in by the staff made me feel relaxed right from the start of my trip. There was snow on the ground around us, and my son, who has never seen snow before, was very excited.
✈︎The room we stayed in
We stayed in a deluxe maisonette type room in the main building.
The living space is on the first floor and the bedroom is on the second floor. The high ceilings and large windows create a great sense of openness.
You can see the great nature of Nasu from the window. The rooms are equipped with amenities and beds for children, which is a nice touch for families!
✈︎Dinner
Soon after making a snowman with the snow piled up on the terrace of the room and playing with my son, it is time for dinner, which I have chosen to start at 5 pm.
Dinner will be a buffet in a restaurant that will be separate from the room.
In addition to the main course of colorful roasted vegetables with cheese sauce and roast beef, the buffet corner offers a variety of colorful cold and hot vegetables. It was very helpful to be able to freely choose from a variety of foods that children like, such as French fries and curry!
They said I could eat as many plates of this roast beef as I wanted! Two plates was enough, though, and that was the limit.
A wide variety of stylish beverages! My son was happily gulping down his juice.
✈︎After dinner
After filling our stomachs with an all-you-can-eat buffet and after-dinner desserts, we return to our rooms, but our excited son keeps going back and forth between the second floor and the first floor, and we are exhausted from having to deal with him. After we manage to put him to bed, we go to a hot spring with a large bath to relieve our fatigue. It is a short walk from the room to the hot spring, but the night breeze is just right.
Day 2: Breakfast & Checkout
✈︎Breakfast
Breakfast was also buffet style, with a variety of Japanese and Western dishes. Fresh vegetables and freshly baked bread were all delicious and made me feel happy from the morning. There was also a menu for children, and the whole family enjoyed a satisfying meal.
✈︎How to spend the day
Chuck-out time at the Risonare Nasu is set for late at 12:00 pm, so you can spend a relaxing time in your room. Since the shuttle bus for the return trip is around 1:00 p.m., until then, you can enjoy the facilities and many activities provided on the grounds of the Resonare Nasu without having to travel far. Here are some of the things we experienced!
✈︎ Net play equipment and ball pool
POKO POKO is a facility with a 6.5-meter-high, three-tiered net playground and ball pool where children can play using their entire body. My son loved the ball pool and could play there for a long time without getting bored.
Adults can spend time reading, enjoying tea, and relaxing in the attached lounge.
✈︎Craft Experience with Natural Materials
At the “Agri-Garden” facility, we made brown rice warmer and herb tea. It is a little bit of production, but it is not difficult for children and they can enjoy it together.
✈︎ Making Stone Oven Pizza
Inside the POKO POKO mentioned earlier, visitors can experience making pizza. Receive dough and ingredients, roll out the dough by themselves, and top with ingredients to make a pizza.
Once the pizza shape is made, hand it to the staff and the rest is done as it is baked in the stone oven. It's easy, even for kids. It is a simple pizza, but very tasty!
✈︎Finally.
Although we only went to the Risonare Nasu on this trip, the grounds are vast and offer multiple facilities and activities, allowing for a full day of solid fun. In addition, none of the activities introduced here require advance reservations, which I felt was great for families with children who have difficulty keeping to a schedule and can enjoy themselves without stress. Recently, I like to spend time on trips that are not too packed with plans, so I especially recommend these activities to such people! This time we went in February, so the scenery was snowy, but if we go in early spring, the prairie will be wide open and we can enjoy it differently, so we would like to go back if we have the chance!

家族でリラックスした時間を過ごすため、久しぶりに家族３人で那須に旅行へ行ってきました！今回の旅行で行ったところは宿泊先でもある星野リゾート リゾナーレ那須のみです！普通のホテルなら退屈してしまう３歳の息子もここでは飽きることなく過ごすことができました。
✈︎リゾナーレ那須について
リゾナーレ那須は、栃木県那須町の美しい自然に囲まれたリゾートホテルです。那須塩原駅から車で約40分の場所に位置し、四季折々の景色を楽しめるのが魅力。木々に囲まれた落ち着いた空間と、温泉、美味しい料理が揃い、子連れでも安心して過ごせる設備も充実。家族全員で癒しの時間を満喫できる理想的な宿泊施設です。
1日目：出発&リゾナーレ那須到着
✈︎リゾナーレ那須までの道のり
東京駅でお弁当を買い、東北新幹線「なすの」に乗車して那須塩原へ向かいます。所要時間は約70分で、子連れでも負担の少ない移動です。息子も新幹線に興奮し、車窓からの景色を楽しんでいました。私はお弁当とビールで快適な旅路となりました。
最近は車での旅行が多かったのですが、新幹線はやはり楽でいいですね！
那須塩原駅に着いてからは事前に予約した無料の送迎バスに乗り込んで40分ほどでリゾナーレ那須に到着します。チャックインは15時からでそれに合わせて送迎バスが運行されています。
✈︎リゾナーレ那須の第一印象
田舎暮らしを楽しむ旅というアグリツーリズモがコンセプトとあって、到着するとそこは豊かな自然の中です。エントランスは木々に囲まれ、自然と調和したデザインが印象的でした。スタッフの温かいお出迎えとスムーズなチェックインで、旅の始まりからリラックスできました。周囲には雪も積もっていて、あまり見たことがない息子は大はしゃぎです。
✈︎宿泊した部屋
私たちが宿泊したのは本館のデラックスメゾネットというタイプのお部屋です。
1階にリビングスペース、2階にベットルームがあります。吹き抜けになているので天井が高く、窓も大きいため開放感抜群です。
窓からは那須の大自然を見ることができます。部屋には子供用のアメニティやベッドも完備され、家族連れには嬉しい配慮が感じられます！
✈︎ディナー
部屋のテラス先に積もった雪で雪だるまを作ったり、息子と遊んでいるとすぐに17時開始で選択したディナーの時間がやってきます。
ディナーは部屋とは別に用意されるレストランでのビュッフェとなります。
メインとなる色とりどりのロースト野菜とチーズソース、ローストビーフの他、ビュッフェコーナーには色鮮やかな冷菜や温菜が並びます。フライドポテトやカレーなど、子供が好きな食べ物も多く、自由に選べるのがとても助かりました！
このローストビーフは何皿食べてもいいとのこと！２皿で十分で限界でしたが。
お洒落な飲み物も充実！息子は楽しそうにジュースをゴクゴク飲んでいました。
✈︎食後
ビュッフェと食後のデザートも食べ放題でお腹を満腹にした後は部屋に戻りますが、テンションの上がった息子が２階と1階を行ったり来たり、それに付き合わされてクタクタです。なんとか寝かしつけた後は大浴場のある温泉へ行って疲れを癒します。部屋から温泉までは少し歩きますが、夜風がちょうどよく気持ちかったです。
2日目：朝食＆チェックアウト
✈︎朝食
朝食もビュッフェスタイルで、和洋さまざまなメニューが揃っていました。新鮮な野菜や焼き立てのパンなど、どれも美味しく、朝から幸せな気分に。子供向けのメニューもあり、家族全員で満足のいく食事を楽しめました。
✈︎チェックアウトまでの過ごし方
リゾナーレ那須のチャックアウトは12時で遅めの設定になっているため、ゆっくり部屋で過ごすことができます。帰りの送迎バスが13時頃のため、それまではリゾナーレ那須の敷地内に用意された施設やたくさんのアクティビティで遠くに移動することなく、色々な楽しみ方ができます。私たちが体験したものをいくつか紹介します！
✈︎ネット遊具とボールプール
「POKO POKO」という施設には高さ6.5m、3層で構成されたネット遊具とボールプールが設置されていて、子供が全身を使って遊ぶことができます。息子もボールプールが好きでここにいれば飽きずにずっと遊んでいられる様子でした。
大人は併設されているラウンジで読書をしたり、お茶を楽しんだりゆっくり過ごすことができます。
✈︎自然素材でクラフト体験
「アグリガーデン」という施設では、玄米カイロ作りとハーブティー作りを行いました。ちょとした製作ですが、子供にも難しくなく、一緒に楽しむことができます。
✈︎石窯ピッツァづくり
先ほどのPOKO POKO内ではピザづくりを体験することができます。生地と材料を受け取り、生地を自分たちで伸ばし、具材をのせてピザを作ります。
ピザの形が作れたらスタッフの方に渡して、あとは石窯で焼いてくれるので完成です。子供でも簡単ですね。シンプルなピザですが、とてもおいしかったです！
✈︎最後に
今回の旅行はリゾナーレ那須しか行きませんでしたが、敷地は広大で複数の施設とアクティビティが用意されているため、丸1日しっかり遊ぶことができます。また、今回紹介したアクティビティはいずれも事前の予約が必要なく、予定通りの行動が難しい子連れの家族でもストレスなく楽しむことができていいと感じました。最近私はあまり予定を詰め込み過ぎず、ゆっくり過ごす旅が好きなので、そのような方には特におすすめです！今回は2月に行ったため雪景色でしたが、春先に行けば大草原が広がり、また違った楽しみ方ができそうなので、また機会があれば行ってみたいと思います！！

インドア過ぎてなかなか旅行に行ってみたいと思わない私ですが、リゾートホテルでゆっくり過ごすというのはいい案ですね！のんびりできそうで😊😊
そして何皿食べてもいいローストビーフ、ライトアップ？された飲み物など、気になるものがたくさん・・・
普段はあまりこのようなリゾートホテルは使わないのですが、全て整っていて子連れには楽でいいですね！
本当は落ち着きのある温泉旅館が好きなのですが。息子はやはりこっちの方が楽しいみたいです！
ローストビーフはボリュームもあってととても美味しかったですよ😋
