Batu Secret Zoo Part 2 Aquarium and Savannah Area

Hi, i am Arveno from Surabaya city Indonesia. I want to share about my vacation this time in my hometown city called Malang city. I already posted my first content you can check in this post
After looking all my picture i think it is need to make 3 part of this content. After explained my experience on the last post about entrance area, right now i will continue telling the experience entering Aquarium area and Savanah area.

When entering Aquarium Area, After entering, the area immediately became pitch black for a while. and my son kinda scared with darkness and this is time i am teasing my son. and scared him. But, it turns out that my son did not afraid at all since he still remember and already know that there will be light at the end. After walking down a dark alley we can see many aquarium from freshwater fish till saltwater tank in there.

I just barely know that my son is really insteresting with fish. I knew that sometimes when he on fish store he is asking to keep that fish. But, once i adopt that fish, my son did not want to care the fish anymore until died. And yeah since i am still on renting house that can moving out and not patent. I dont want to keep any animals or even worse big tanks. It will be hard to moving this stuff. But, yeah someday i after i am having my own house i will building my tanks.

I am more like freshwater tanks than saltwater tanks. Maybe because i am aquascaper and once i mastering about freshwater tanks. And look there are dwarf Gouramis. This gourami is really cute. They cannot growing big like other gourami. And this is ornamental fish not consumed fish. But, yeah in this place the freshwater tanks is not maintenance properly. For the aquascaping layout, the varietas of the fish is not too proper if looked by the hobbiest. But for the visitor it is quite oke for me.

There is spot for taking picture. But my phone is not quite good for taking picture with low light so it is not good. But, i this picture is perfect to remembering the happy moment being there.

After seeing the freshwater tanks,then we going to saltwater tanks area. There a lot tanks that contain saltwater creatures. From fish,starfish,lobster,anemone and many more. I cannot took many picture in there since my son more interested about this saltwater creatures so i answering almost all his question.

I want to capture the shark but they are too fast. So my phone camera cannot following them and it blur all the way.

I want to capture the moray eel too. But they are hiding in the reef. So it just capture its body a little bit with yellow dot. I got picture the fish that always having relationship with shark mostly. That usually sucking on the shark body.

After saltwater area, we continue to amphiby area, from snake to reptile and turtle.

This is the cage of King Cobra, but after a while this snake is not moving at all, i dont know this snake is death or just sleep. I never see the snake sleep. So, yeah i dont know at all.

The we can see many carnivorous turtle inside aquariums. The last one is the coolest Aligator Snapping Turtle. I told my son if he seen this kind of turle, never placing or touching his mouth, or it will snap the finger. Sometimes kid can be very curious and never know that will be very dangerous right.

In the end of this aquarium journey we can see inside the Gigantic Tank. Basically we inside the pool of Ape Cage above. Thats pretty cool right?? Sadly today is cloudy. So, the picture is not pretty good, if the day is sunny day, the light will translucent the water and can be diffuse the light and make the good lighting picture.

Remember in the last post on entrance area, we see the jaguar sleeping right? And yeah we are below his cage right now after going out from Aquarium site. And the Jaguar already wake up and chilling on cage bridge.

And after that we are passing through the carnivour mamals, there are many big cat exhibit. And i just taking 2 species since i cannot found the rest, maybe they are sleeping inside its burrow.

Then we are arrived at rest area, we can sit a if we are tired or pee in here, or we can buying some snacks or drink.

In the right side of this rest area we can feeding and interaction with many Lemurs inside the cage. But, since that day is holiday so i dont think this place having many staff. So, i dont want to wait the staff too. And i am too allergic with mamals fur. So, i dont want to be inside. My wife is not like that too. So, we just look and carry on.

Then we are on the way to Savannah Area. This is almost halfway to this entire Zoo.
As you can see the left side of this sidewalk is cage. Thats Lemurs species cages.

Then we are entering the Savannah Area.

Actually this area is like tunnel that flanked by exhibit for many Savannah Animals. This is really long tunnel and the road is uphill. Yep need to extra energy to walk till finish. Mostly people renting Electric Bike and costing 10$ each bike. But, thats too expensive for me, better walk and sit if too tired.

This tunnel is kinda cool. But, you need to watch carefully and searching the animals except the Zebra, we can see many Zebra since they are so many. But, for the rest like Gazelle,Gemsbook,etc need to observe and searched since the population is too little there.

This white rhinoceros is kinda new. I never saw this one last year. Thats really cool and huge.

Finally the end of Savannah Tunnel. Then we are going to Playground and Cafetaria Area. But, before that we are taking some picture first.

And here my son starting to grumbling because too tired.

But, i dont think the weather is friendly to us for that day. The temperature starting to dropping and the wind blowing. It is sign that soon enough it will rain. But i dont know when the rain comes.

Usually in this Elephant cage we can feeding them. But like i said before, this place kinda short of staff i guess since it is close to Ramadhan Holiday and mostly people in Indonesia are Moeslim. So, no wonder there are not staff in Elephant cages too. Fortunately my son still remember when he giving the elephant food, so he is not tantruming when cannot feeding them.

Then my son can take photos with Macaw bird. My son is not afraid anymore with this bird.

And the last cage before entering playground and cafetaria area is this Tapir Cage. Usually this Tapir wont come out from its cage. But that day its came out. that cool.

We decided to lunch here since the weather is not good at all we dont know when the rain comes. And all of us started to starving. There is not much photo i take when in cafetaria and playground since we are not playing in this area. First of all my son did not like playing in this area, second my son is timid, so it will be hard to persuade him playing in this new playground. But, fyi after we are done lunch actually we are playing in the playground little bit. I watching him playing in playground and finding new friends there while my wife starting to order the food for lunch and after my wife finished ordering, she will calling us. And this is my experienced till half of this jurney. The last part is the newest of features on this place. And we are running out of time so we cannot enjoying the last part of this zoo the tiger land since all the tiger are caged.
