One of the places that I think is a must-visit in Yogyakarta is the Ulensentalu Museum. This is a museum full of puzzles and also very well-kept secret information. Curious about the story? I will continue in this post!
Ulensentalu, even though I had to take a long way from the center of Yogyakarta, I will never regret it. A truly authentic place, where their exhibitions have their own magical elements. Of course this is not a ghost story, but rather the many historical relics where all the exhibits here are guaranteed to be 100% authentic. But unfortunately, I don't have many photos of their exhibitions. Everything in the museum (except near the registration lobby) cannot be photographed just like that. They maintain the confidentiality of the relics that are indeed collected by their owners.
This museum has its own meaning, where Ulensentalu means the guiding light of the path of life. The goal is clear, they want to connect cultural heirs with their heritage. Especially Adiluhung Mataram, I chose to take this tour because I really wanted to know the traces of the past of the Mataram kingdom which eventually became 'Java'.
This is where I found many things that I never knew before. How the collection of cloth from the Javanese kingdom, the stories of the kings and also the objects left behind. Including the most favorite of the tour groups, the love story of a Gusti Noeroel whose beauty even made the first president of Indonesia fall in love.
So many relics of royal objects are indeed guarded by the museum. They even make this place very comfortable to store items, including maintaining the air temperature in each place. One thing you should know, here it is mandatory to join the tour and will be accompanied by a very informative tour guide.
Through many stories, we even entered several special rooms, without cameras and without flash, very close to the explanation of the tour guide, we were only allowed to follow his directions, so that an intimate relationship occurred and made this trip very fun and enjoyable, because I have many friends.
Not only artistic objects, even this museum has a very interesting architecture. Like a house among many trees, because it is indeed included in an area that is very far from the highway, there is even only one road to the Ulensentalu museum.
This place is very clean and well maintained, even though there are so many trees, it is very well maintained from dry twigs and leaves. Maintained with all their heart, because they really care about the comfort of the visitors. They sell services in the form of friendliness and cleanliness. I really like this trip. I can get a lot of information and also many things.
Once again, if I go to Yogyakarta again, I will join the other 2 tours here. Will never regret the very different experience.
See you the next time hive friends!
