Between Two Gates. I thought it was just an ordinary street, there was nothing strange and special in its name. Then entering from one of the doors, I saw an alley that made me stunned, I could only say in my mind; wow! How can there be an alley that looks like a film production set like this?!.

Sure enough, this alley is owned by 9 people with houses in the classic Javanese architectural style that existed 100 years ago. Named 'gang rukunan' in English is a harmonious alley. There is a reason for the name, because the people who used to live in this alley were very harmonious in order to maintain the authenticity of the building.

There are 9 houses with a unique style, if the Javanese say this is 'Joglo'. Well, I think the meaning of joglo is like a house with wooden furnishings and a spacious and open shape. In fact, people's houses in the past did have a large living room so that they could receive many guests. The harmony and harmony of the people in the past were very well maintained, therefore they made such a large house so that it was easy to hold events at home to gather.

If you say this is a film or advertisement production set, I can be sure that it is true. Because when I was there, I saw a group of people holding cameras with other equipment and there were several other people acting as actors. Either they were taking videos or photos, but the background was Javanese customs. I also know from the clothes they were wearing, but I didn't want to take pictures because it was their privacy.

I found myself in the past. The vibes that enveloped my afternoon were truly different, with all its uniqueness, this alley is full of charm and tradition. Of course you are allowed to be here as long as you do not disturb the order.

Well, even though this is a private place for a group of people, you can come here without paying an entrance fee. Everyone can stop by here and enjoy the beauty of the alley with traditional Javanese style. As long as you do not ride a motorbike or car to enter the alley, do not be noisy and disturb the order, dress politely and do not carelessly take other people's property.
