The love that an artist expresses in his paintings reaches the one who admires them, even if many years have passed. Love for art, for painting and extreme beauty in the paintings of this great painter.
I had promised myself to return to this beautiful museum, which at first I thought, because of its exterior façade, was small, but when I entered I realised that it is located in a huge old house with three floors. The first time I had only been able to visit the ground floor.
And if that visit had seemed wonderful, this one was even more so, because the first floor is even more beautiful.
It is divided into two sectors, or so it seems to me. One where there is an amazing display of art, dedicated to the beauty of women, where he shows his immense sensitivity for them and shows them as perfect beings.
I have seen many classical works, by artists from the Romantic period or similar, but this exhibition is out of the ordinary. Again it brings back many memories of my years as a student, because at that time there was not much abstract art, but what prevailed were these classical works and learning to paint the human figure with them.
I also visited the second floor again, which I didn't have much time to look at the first time I went. I was told that there were drawings and sketches there and I went from the ground floor to the second floor, but the museum was already closed and I scheduled a new visit. This time I will show you perfection and extreme beauty in art. For me it is, I always speak from my personal perspective.
Throughout the exhibition there are phrases or posters that were said by people who knew the painter and I thought it was a very good detail to get to know him better through other people.
"Félix Revello is a painter of exquisite sensitivity... we find many still lifes in his wide pictorial production. His still lifes are full of modernity and life, of intense emotion, reflecting his love for things, which he interprets with a controlled and sensitive drawing to extract from them their essence and maximum expressive force" Rosario Camacho.
It is admirable to see the woman in different paintings, splendid with a beauty similar to that of an angel, with such expressive and emotive gazes. Paintings where the human figure of the woman is shown as simple, simple, but at the same time magnified by such magnificence. I think that this is what the artist was capturing, you can see his admiration for the woman herself. And I see in each painting a perfect tribute to her or them, perhaps in his life or to women in general.
The poses, the clothes, the gestures of the faces are impeccable, I admired every detail of each painting in this exhibition and it seemed to me one of the most beautiful that my eyes have seen, not because I am a woman, but because each painting is energy and feeling, emotion and being close to them transmitted something that cannot be explained with words. The artist loved women and their greatness.
"For Félix Revello, woman is an unknown quantity that must not be completely cleared up, a secret that is half-revealed. He gives clues, hints at paths that seem to lead to the mystery, he even labels with the supposed intention of collaborating in the spectator's investigation, as if the heart of the problem were outside the figure represented and not in the woman herself, in her form, in her way of being in the painting, in the atmosphere that surrounds her" Alfonso Canales
Seeing his paintings, I believe that the painter manages to capture the very essence of the woman's soul, he manages to see her spirit, something that few achieve, perhaps because I saw myself reflected in many details is that I manage to see that the artist sees beyond the eyes, he sees spirit, that intrinsic mystery of the woman, of the pure and beautiful woman with a soul that is reflected in her exterior. It was like seeing painted poetry.
It is not necessary to undress the woman to paint her, she knew how to capture the beauty of the interior with subtle cloths, dresses, fabrics. It is a display of art that exudes life and love, that is what I felt as I walked through those narrow corridors that barely gave me room to take the photographs in their full form. What an admirable work really. It makes me very emotional.
When the space of several corridors full of these magnificent works of art ends, a library space begins, which I liked very much, where besides seeing so many pictures with diplomas and things like that, there is a table full of art books that I loved, as well as a small library display case.
There are also several artistic decorations and a portrait of Picasso painted by Félix Revello. A very warm room with plenty there to enjoy good art.
Then I went to the second floor, which is located in the attic of the old but very well maintained house. You can see the constant maintenance and restoration work to preserve the works of art.
There I was able to enjoy numerous sketches and drawings of women with fantastic facial expressions, subtle details and there were even drawings that looked unfinished, but were equally beautiful.
I think it is noteworthy the phrases people have said about the artist like this.
"Revello's woman is at once close and distant, seductive and sacred, sensual and sublime, fecund and virgin, in singular and contradictory harmony" José María Porta Tovar.
I think there is no phrase that better expresses the woman and what the painter saw in her.
This poster alludes to several of the drawings called Doce Rostros (Twelve Faces).
"Revello de Toro's women are the image of what he wanted them to be; of what, through them, we want them to be, although perhaps they are reduced to something they are not" Manuel Alvar.
They say that through the works of art you get to know people and these works are from another world, truly overflowing with beauty, detail and they amaze me.
It has been a real pleasure to walk through every step of this great museum, which of course I recommend visiting from beginning to end and where there is a permanent guide who can explain the works if required.
Thank you all for watching and reading this far, and for joining me today. See you soon. Best regards.

The paintings look realistic. They are very precise and meticulously made. Such precise work at this time is actually admirable. Such work has to be appreciated and in today's era it looks like a camera picture. In reality, it is painted in such a precise way that is beyond imagination. I loved this visit to the work of Revello del Toro. The treatment of the woman's figure is very refined, I would say that he captures the soul of each model. Then, the use of light and textures seems wonderful to me.
