Hello hive community, it's always been in my bucket list to go and hike an active volcano and I finally did it. Mount Batur is an active volcano located in Kintamani Bali, Indonesia. So if you're in Bali and want to hike to an active Volcano, mount Batur is your place to go. You take your car and go to Kintamani and ask for the starting point of the trek. The trek starts at 2am in the morning, it costs about 25-30$ per person for the package. The package includes a trek guide and breakfast on top of the mountain.
The hike is about 4 hours long so it's best to start by 2am because the sunrise from the top is the most beautiful I have ever seen. The first 2 hours is just a walk but as we start to incline it becomes very difficult as the incline is very steep and trekking in the dark makes it a bit more challenging. I went along with a group of friends, a few of them are hiking for the first time. It was difficult for them to reach the top but they somehow managed, so I guess anyone who is a noob can hike this volcano. I didn't take any photos during the trek as there was no light but got some really good snaps of the sunrise and the steam coming out of the mountain. Take a look.

The sunrise was so amazing to watch. As the sun rose, we realised that we were not alone. We had company. Yesss, monkeys, hahahhaha.
They look so cute right? Don't get fooled by their cuteness cause they will snatch anything edible from you. Even water bottles ahhaha.
Next up is the steam coming out of the volcano which makes you realise that you're standing on an active VOLCANO.
