Hello walkers of Hive!
I was very fortunate to travel to Austin with work for a few days. The next few posts will highlight some of the places I visited and found interesting around the city.
The downtown area of the city is quite condensed and smaller than I thought. Walking 20 mins in any direction away from the huge high rise offices and hotels in the centre takes you to residential districts.
As can been seen below, there is a mix of period buildings scattered throughout the city that all get dwarfed by the modern glass buildings of new business.
The Driskill Hotel built in 1886. It is beautiful building with so many unique features inside and out, more to come in following posts!
A very photogenic, classic cinema!
Sunset over the Colorado River from South Congress bridge with reflections to boot.
Looking back at the city with the warm orange glow of the sun reflecting off downtown.
More to come, stay tuned!
Take care everyone.

Austin must be a really great city I heard of it only in movies 💕💕
It is really nice- amazing weather, great tasting pit barbecues & live music on every other corner!
This is the best time to travel for office work. In the modern world, many companies have been created and are actually helping the world by doing a lot of business. You have shared a great travel experience. The beauty of the lake in the middle of the city is great.

What a view! 😍 Austin looks like a mix of the future and the past, like a cowboy and a Silicon Valley CEO having coffee together. Did you try Texan tacos or just survive on coffee and photos? 🤠☕📸
Looks an interesting city, a nice mix of architecture styles, the Driscoll Hotel sure seems charming
Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk and have a great day
Austin's charm extends far beyond its cinematic portrayals. While movies often capture glimpses of its vibrant live music scene, its stunning natural beauty, and its unique blend of quirky and sophisticated, they only scratch the surface of what makes this city so captivating. The reality is even richer and more multifaceted.
