There are still plenty of neighborhood parks I haven't visited yet. Since I went to the Lepak One Corner food court yesterday, I decided to make the most of my trip by checking out Yishun Park nearby. It’s a simple nature park designed for locals, but it’s open to anyone who wants to visit or hang out.
Its simplicity hides interesting spots within the park. What kept me engaged during my walk was the winding layout of the walkway. Walking along the path felt like an adventure on its own. The walkway follows the park’s gently rolling terrain, adding a bit of a challenge for those who enjoy a mini hiking experience.
A cluster of trees caught my attention, and one of them had bright red berries. I have good reason to believe they’re not edible, as no one seems to be touching them. If I’m guessing correctly, these trees might be Crab Apple Trees or Ilex Serrata—either one could be right!
The path is a continuous trek leading to the top of the park. I couldn't quite grasp its scale, but it felt like I was climbing a giant mound. At first, I thought it was man-made, but when I reached the top and saw old trees, I realized it was part of the natural terrain.
After a slow 10-minute walk and some photo-taking, I finally reached the park's landmark. It’s a small archway that serves as the entrance to a mini concrete bridge leading to the seating area.
One structure that kept catching my eye throughout the trek was the golden dome of the nearby mosque. No matter how elevated the mound was, the dome still appeared higher and remained visible from every part of the park. I suppose this was the developer's intention from the start.
The top of the park is mostly filled with seating areas. At first, I wondered why there were so many benches scattered around, but then I realized they were meant for the residents living nearby. It’s a place where they can relax and chat with friends and neighbors. Another reason could be that it serves as a peaceful spot for patrons of the nearby mosque to sit and reflect on their lives.
This trip was rather short, but it was quite meaningful because it gave me a glimpse into the lifestyle of the people in this area.
Yishun Park may be a simple neighborhood park, but its winding paths, natural scenery, and quiet seating areas make it a charming spot to explore. The presence of the mosque’s golden dome adds a unique cultural touch, reminding visitors of the community that surrounds it. Though my visit was brief, it offered a refreshing break and a deeper appreciation for the everyday spaces where locals gather and unwind.
That is such a beautiful and well-maintained park! The lush greenery, clean surroundings, and thoughtfully designed spaces make it a perfect place to relax and unwind. It’s wonderful to see how well-kept and preserved it is, creating a peaceful and inviting atmosphere for visitors to enjoy. Whether for a casual stroll, a picnic with loved ones, or simply taking in the natural beauty, this park seems like an ideal spot to connect with nature and find tranquility.
You're right about that, I agree, this park maybe simple but it's good enough to have a quick stroll. It's relaxing here because there Are fewer visitors.
I did saw picnic tables too so it would be a good idea to spend time with friends or family as well and enjoy a nice meal 😁
A very beautiful Park....Peaceful environment and natural ways add more beauty to this park.A man can relax and enjoy some moments here. These kinds of places and parks have a positive impact on our health mentally as well as physically.
You're correct. I think even a 10 minute rest on a regular basis is already good enough to improve once well being 😁
How much peace these spaces transmit!
I'm glad you shared it.
Greetings and blessings, @curamax
In the 20 minutes of walk that I did, it's already god enough to recharge for the week 😀
It is worth it because it is too beautiful.
Yeah I agree 👍
Wow, the view is really very beautiful, I am enjoying and amused by it ❤️
The park maybe simple but it's good enough for a nice stroll on a weekend and yeah the views are amazing 🤩
Nice share bro. Such neighbourhood parks are nice places to visit and relax during weekends.
Yes definitely 😁 City parks can be crowded on weekends so this one is a good alternative.
Thank you so much my friend @jlinaresp for curating my post 🙏
You have successfully visited a very beautiful place my brother, it's amazing, have a nice day 🙏♥️
Thank you! I enjoyed this trip because of the peacefulness of the park. It's a refreshing break from the noise of the city 😁
Crazy how this place is also just entirely empty when it is so pretty. I would expect so many people there doing all kinds of stuff.
Super cool!
You're right about your observation, I felt like I only saw around 20 people throughout my walk around the park.
Compared to the parks at the city area, this one isn't getting too much visitors 😕
The park at first look was simple but later in it become beautiful because of its simplicity. Which give more relaxing view and it's nice walking around. Yes, the detail of the walk way was simple but nice.
True. The park is not designed to impress but I feel that it's good enough considering how serene it feels as I walk along the path 😊
Yes, it feels relax and gives a peace. It big helps to the neighborhood because if you have problem and you want just a peace. It a nice place to go to.
That's correct. If I live in this neighborhood, I would also go often here just to breathe some fresh air 😊
Me too! The neighborhood is lucky they have a place like that. They don't need to go far.

[@PowerPaul:] Hey Max. I saw that I missed a vote you ordered at 2024-12-15 17:00:12 for skyscrappers-and-street-art-a. Or at least I never ticked my button "voted". So I don't know, maybe it was voted, maybe not. However, you as a good user earned it anyway - I didn't felt the need to use 4 minutes to investigate it. I used the old calculation system which was up at this time - so it resulted in a full 100% vote.
Max, Hive a great day!
That's a nice park and very well kept
Yeah. I'm actually impressed by the cleanliness of this park. Not a single piece of rubbish 😁
