It’s great that places like this aren’t demolished but turned into tourist attractions instead. The economy from gemstone sales and mining might have declined, but many people would still want to visit. I hope they come to learn rather than just to post a story or a picture with #GemHunting, #MineCrafting. Absolutely stunning... especially the violet hues combined with white and black. Seeing the stones after processing, when they shine, is one thing, but witnessing them in their raw form, untouched by human hands, is something else entirely.

I don't think it ever crossed the owners' minds to demolish the place; rather, I think they thought of a way to make profitable a place that would irremediably cease to produce, given the limited nature of the veins of any kind.

So it is, seeing everything live, you understand the processes and you also value what has taken millions of years for the planet earth to share its beauties with the human being.
