You've probably heard the phrase “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”. And to a great extent it is… but well, there are also things about a trip that can be told, right?
My weekend there was probably one of the most fun, and absurd, something like that that I have ever experienced. It was something improvised, a crazy impulse, and a way out of the routine that we need so many times, and taking advantage of the fact that I was in the United States for a few months, in "the country of opportunities" we had to take advantage of that opportunity to experience something different.
Already the trip was bumpy and delayed, with a hole in the wing that made us have to wait inside the plane until it was repaired... finally, quickly passing through clouds in the sky, we arrived at night in the city of lights and slot machines that already they welcomed us at the airport. Why wait to get to the hotel or the casinos if we can already gamble our dollars at the airport? Is the airport a casino? All a clear sign of identity of what they call "the city of sin", or of the various sins... how many can we commit here?
In principle, simply having fun, which is not a sin in itself. Arriving at the hotel, seeing more machines and gambling and betting areas, like that with greed... enjoying the free buffet until you burst, a little gluttony also provokes. There are those who will go to striptease clubs dragged by lust and others will instead decide to say "I do" and celebrate an express wedding, and the future result is something else... (I didn't get married jaja).
All the topics that we have heard and seen in countless movies are shown before us, while we are walking along the famous The Strip. The central avenue of the city, around which all those impressive themed hotels are imposed, each one different and each one more spectacular than the previous one. And yes, neon lights and more and more lights.
In the end, tourism here, unless you have a lot of greed, gluttony and lust, would be to visit the different hotels, the most striking and sometimes enjoy some show or spectacle there. Some hotels look like an exact copy of Venice (The Venetian) or the Eiffel Tower, the Pyramid of Cheops, etc. Others transport us to the Roman Empire (Caesar's Palace) to Pirates of the Caribbean or to a giant Circus with fairground attractions (the Circus Circus), and many more... And so in each one we can have fun in different ways, for example in the Circus Circus there are many attractions, and the SpongeBob one, which is not just for children, ends up soaking you well, but it's hot, so no problem.
It is a city in which it is usually very hot and sunny, but here is the coincidence that I just landed in the few days that there is some cloudiness, this is how the panorama of almost the entire city and the State of Nevada itself was seen, from the tallest tower in the state, which obviously belongs to another hotel (The Stratosphere), in the same tower there is a roller coaster, up there, crazy, but due to the powerful wind that day it is closed, among so much madness there is also caution.
And even silence, after crazy nights in clubs decorated in different ways, with bubbles and peculiar people, the day comes and it seems that all the energy of the night has been exhausted. In spite of everything, it is possible to see people running first thing on the same sidewalks, there is also health and another type of life. Because the night party is not everything.
Although earning extra money to rent a limousine and go through those illuminated streets like crazy was quite an experience, like in a movie. To be able to enter a live wedding at the Bellagio hotel at the end of a show of water fountains and more lights, of course, and finally reach the other part of the city where you can photograph that emblem so well known to all. Wow!
And continue the party, being silly, in the strange souvenir shops, drinking great cocktails, and maybe playing something, even if it was just a few cents to immerse yourself in the atmosphere, feel for a moment part of this whole movie scenario but real, sinful or just fun... yes, as long as your credit card allows it.
The rest, what happened, stayed there, in Las Vegas.
(and I have skipped some photos...) ;)
Thanks so much for reading. Have a funny day!
