📍Touring the town of Caripe 🏞️

¡Bienvenidos a mi blog!

Welcome to my blog!

How are you, friends? Today I want to share with you my most recent adventure, perhaps less exciting than others, but just as interesting and fun, plus I was able to do it with my family, and you know that always makes the experiences much better. This time I am going to take you with me to visit the town of Caripe, also known as "The Garden of the Orient" for its great diversity of flora, its imposing mountains and its privileged climate.

On this occasion, my father was in charge of showing us the streets of the town as he told us how popular it was about 20 years ago. According to his words, the economy was much more booming, as it was one of the largest coffee producers in the state of Monagas, it operated a well-known juice factory and agriculture was at its peak.

That is why, as you walk through its streets, you will be able to admire the elegant architecture of many of the houses on the main avenue, many of them abandoned by their owners, who were forced to leave in search of better economic opportunities, but which are very well preserved thanks to their caretakers. This is a perfect sample of the prosperity enjoyed by its inhabitants.

However, even though the town is not going through a good time, its inhabitants show their love for it by keeping the streets clean and decorating them with plants and flowers, with murals that show a lot of art, and trying to keep commerce alive. It is unfortunate to see all the potential that this place has, but the lack of investment by the government has abandoned it.

The night caught up with us as we walked through town, but I loved it because the air was much cooler and the lights made everything so much prettier. Since we came during carnival time, we found the main square full of people celebrating, but, in a way, we felt safer walking around so late because there were families gathered everywhere.

I am glad to have the opportunity to get to know better the towns of the state where I live, because there is nothing better than discovering the wonders that your country offers you. Although there are many places that I still don't know, I have started with those that are closer and more economical. God willing, I hope to have a thousand more adventures like this one ❤️.

¡Nos vemos pronto!

See you soon!
