¡Feliz inicio de semana! Han pasado varios meses desde la última vez que pudimos hacer un viaje, así que ya era hora de planificar uno, aunque sea en el mismo estado. Siempre hay lugares nuevos que conocer, así que hoy les compartiré nuestra experiencia en San Antonio.
Happy start of the week! It's been several months since we were last able to take a trip, so it was about time to plan one, even if it's in the same state. There are always new places to see, so today I'll share with you our experience in San Antonio.
| Gracias a una agencia que organiza paquetes llamados Full day, pudimos hacer este viaje de unas 2 horas y media. Es una excelente opción para quienes no tienen vehículo propio y quieren hacer turismo por el Estado con mayor facilidad. San Antonio es la capital del municipio Acosta del Estado Monagas y es un pueblo que cuenta con un clima privilegiado por estar rodeado de montañas y una arquitectura bastante antigua que te hace sentir como si volvieras al pasado. | Thanks to an agency that organizes packages called Full day, we were able to make this trip of about 2 hours and a half. It is an excellent option for those who do not have their own vehicle and want to tour the state more easily. San Antonio is the capital of the Acosta municipality of Monagas State and is a town with a privileged climate, surrounded by mountains and a very old architecture that makes you feel as if you were going back to the past. |
A pesar de que no es un pueblo muy grande, en el recorrido podrás disfrutar de sus diferentes plazas, calles amplias con muchas casitas coloridas, con muchas opciones de restaurantes para disfrutar de su gastronomía y paisajes hermosos, dignos de un área rodeada de naturaleza como esta.
Although it is not a very big town, during the tour you can enjoy its different squares, wide streets with many colorful houses, with many options of restaurants to enjoy its gastronomy and beautiful landscapes, worthy of an area surrounded by nature like this.
| Tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar un restaurante ubicado en la parte más alta del pueblo y quedamos gratamente impresionados con la vista tan hermosa que tienen desde allí, ya que se puede ver todo el pueblo en miniatura y las enormes e imponentes montañas que lo rodean. Creo que vale la pena pasar un fin de semana en alguna posada del lugar para disfrutar de esos paisajes, algo que no podríamos hacer en la ciudad. | We had the opportunity to visit a restaurant located in the highest part of town and were pleasantly impressed with the beautiful view from there, since you can see the whole town in miniature and the huge and imposing mountains that surround it. I think it is worth spending a weekend in one of the local inns to enjoy the scenery, something we could not do in the city. |
Pero creo que nuestro lugar favorito del pueblo es la Cascada Caracol, un balneario hermoso con una cascada impresionante en forma de caracol, un lugar mágico al que las fotos no hacen justicia. Claro, para llegar hasta ahí hay que hacer un recorrido bastante extenso y superar algunos obstáculos, así que hay que gustar de hacer senderismo, pero totalmente vale la pena.
But I think our favorite place in town is the Cascada Caracol, a beautiful spa with an impressive waterfall in the shape of a snail, a magical place that photos do not do justice to. Of course, to get there you have to hike quite a long way and overcome some obstacles, so you have to like hiking, but it's totally worth it.

If you have the opportunity to visit the state of Monagas, be sure to visit the town of San Antonio, where you can do adventure tourism, eat very well and enjoy landscapes that will remain forever etched in your memory. Jajajaja. Yo no soy deportista y logré seguirle el ritmo a los guías, lo importante es llevar unos zapatos aptos para la travesía, porque al tener tantas piedras si tienes zapatos con suela lisa te vas a pasar el camino cayéndote.
