I love Murano glass, so colourful and imaginative, collectors pieces, I love their clown figures especially.

I guess you know that the glass works set up here on the island many many many genrations ago as the powers in venice were afraid of places going on fire and causing destruction within the city

Yes. They explain that. Most of Venice was wood construction and was burned down multiple times. These glass furnaces run 1100-1400 degrees C, and they run 24-7 so they moved it to another smaller island

makes sense, that is just a touch hot!
