Morning life in Manali and a local dish called ‘Siddu’

in Worldmappin4 months ago

When I was a child, my father used to tell me to make a habit of waking up early in the morning. He used to wake me up for school everyday at 6 in the morning. But it changed when I went to collage. I slowly strated getting this habit of waking up late and going to bed very late. This was my journey from becoming a morning person to late night owl.

I am an artist and I play bass guitar and I have gigs almost 4 times in a week. Basically, it is very hard to make a schedule where you can go to bed before 11 PM. I followed this routine for a very long time but now it is time for me to change it.

I have joined the gym and I go to the gym every morning at 7. It is around 1.5 KMs far from my place. I go by walk and on the way I see people going for work and children going to the school. It made me realise that why my father used to tell me to wake up early. When you wake up early in the morning, you see people going to the work and everything is fresh. Which makes the start of your day fresh and focused. People opening their shops and cleaning. Workers going to the work and so much positive energy everywhere. It changed my way of thinging and now I am trying to be a morning person again. I wake up early every morning before the sun rises and I make sure to go to bed at time even if I had a show till 10 pm. I make sure I reach back to my place at 11 and go to bed.

In this blog, I am sharing these pictures of a fresh morning where people can be seen working and yes I went to a local street food shop and have one ‘Siddu’ after my workout.

So, Siddu is a local dish from upper Himachal area. It is a steamed bread with stuffing of walnuts and peanuts and some other things which even I do not know. It is served with Ghee and Chatney (sauses). It is very delicious and very heavy diet. I love these Siddus so much and I have never tasted any other Siddu like these. These are the best in Manali.

Well that was all in this blog. I hope you liked my blog.

Manali looks a nice place, so cool you play many gigs but yes working as a musician make you come home late, my ex bf was a professional guitarist and playing gigs almost every night and never wake up since the 11/12 in the morning. It's nice to see the morning streets of this place and the siddu looks so yummy.

Yeah musicians life is full of hustle. You should come visit Manali some day 😊

Bahut badhiya, dost.. Subah Subah ki sair wakai taazagi bhari hoti hai aur wo agar kahin pahadon mein ho to phir uska koi mukabla hi nahi hai. Siddu ke bare mein bahut suna hai par maine yahan intentianally khaya hi nahi kyunki mujhe isko pahli baar to at least iske origin mein hi taste karna hai, warna aapko pata hoga aajkal log food ke sath bahut experiments karte hain. :D
