It was so much fun to visit this city, Siem Reap. Located in Cambodia, it became one of my wish lists after studying a lot of history when I was in elementary school. Everyone will know that this city is one of the traces of Asian civilization. Do you know the reason why it became a civilization in Asia? Let me answer in the comments column.
But first, after landing from many flights. If you know that direct flights from my hometown (Medan city in North Sumatra), must transit via Kuala Lumpur. So, this trip is really very long so I will tell you a lot later.
Because I arrived in Siem Reap in the afternoon and I was very amazed by this city for the first time, everything was very neat and pleasant. Nothing made it difficult for me, even after arriving at the airport, we were offered a cheap price using a taxi and that made me love this city even more. Stopping to put down my bag and suitcase, I continued our journey to Wat Damnak.
One of the largest pagodas in Siem Reap and used for worship for Hindus. This is the atmosphere right in front of the main gate to the pagoda. It was fun because it turned out there were so many people sitting and doing activities. I felt like a local, blending in with the surrounding community.
There was no entrance fee to enter Wat Damnak, and there was no tight security. Trust and respect were factors. The temple atmosphere was so crowded and unlike other temples that were so quiet, it was even like a high school because there were so many teenagers here. Various activities were carried out, playing, reading books and also exercising.
I was here in the afternoon, there was a lot of dry leaf litter, this was really normal because it coincided with the dry season. I thought I should have come in the morning to get a clean place, but this was more than enough.
There were so many shrines in it, separated in one very large area. There was also an artificial pond in the middle of which there was a house like a temple that was so beautiful, decorated with gold and colors, of course there was a bridge that could be used to cross. But unfortunately, there was a fence that was closed and you couldn't just enter.
There are many Buddha statues in several places, especially near the banyan tree which protects the statue from direct sunlight. Of course in pagodas or temples there will be many Buddha statues, but here, there are also Buddha statues placed outdoors.
It turns out that taking an afternoon walk in Siem Reap by visiting several temples is a fun activity, besides being able to see the activities of local people and also learn exciting things rather than just lying down in a hotel room.

Call me Isdarmady, sometimes Mady, Putra or anything you want. I have a pretty long name but call me very nicely. There are many things I like, especially hydroponics and coffee, sometimes I also like traveling and eating whatever I want. Life should be like that, there must be many things you like so you can live well. Of course, what you want is a dream, so, when you have a dream then what you have to do is to achieve that dream, don't just let it be a dream.
There are many things I tell on my Blog, I hope you like it. Never hesitate to leave a comment, because your comments mean so much to keep me moving forward.

Another beautiful place to visit with historical buildings showing Angkorian architecture (if I am not mistaken). Their architecture has religious influences too. People or tourists were expected to show respect and behave so no need for security within the premises of the temple. Indeed one has to go out and explore a place when on a tour to experience its culture and feel its atmosphere.
Angkor Wat is the best temple, but in Siem Reap, you have to visit another temples 😁
