At the POLIN museum, you can go back in time and, among others, walk along a pre-war Jewish street, and we can also look inside a gate and, for example, enter a pre-war cinema. In the distance you can hear the buzz of the cinema hall and the sounds emanating from the film displayed on the screen. You can sit in a cinema chair and watch a pre-war movie, or see the exhibits in the room and read interesting information. It turns out that the Jewish audience, apart from the cinema, loved theater and one of the most famous performances was "The Dybbuk", performed by the Vilnius Troupe.
W muzeum POLIN można się cofnąć w czasie i m.in. przejść się przedwojenną żydowską ulicą, a gdy to nam się znudzi, możemy zajrzeć do jakiejś bramy i np. wejść do przedwojennego kina. Z oddali słychać gwar kinowej sali i odgłosy wydobywające się z wyświetlanego na ekranie filmu. Można usiąść w fotelu kinowym i obejrzeć przedwojenny film, albo zobaczyć znajdujące się na sali eksponaty oraz przeczytać interesujące informacje. Okazuje się, że żydowska publika oprócz kina uwielbiała teatr i jednym z najbardziej znanych przedstawień był "Dybuk", który wykonywała Trupa Wileńska.
The famous artist Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński expressed this opinion about the Jewish theater: "I went to Karowa Street to see the Jewish Theater... I spent an entertaining evening and learned many things... The actors played with such expressiveness that there was almost no need for an interpreter." Wow, these performances had to be wonderful and emotional.
Znany artysta Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński wyraził taką opinię na temat żydowskiego teatru: "Pojechałem na ulicę Karową zobaczyć Teatr Żydowski... Spędziłem zajmujący wieczór i nauczyłem się wielu rzeczy... Aktorzy grali z taką ekspresją, że prawie nie trzeba było tłumacza." Ale wspaniałe i emocjonalne musiały być te przedstawienia.

And this is a Jewish street from the old days with signboards with the names of shops, e.g. a watchmaker, a women's hat factory, a haberdashery and paper store. Nowadays, you can rarely see a hat shop, and even such signs have been replaced with new ones. It's nice to be able to walk around such a "other world" for a while

Obecnie rzadko można zobaczyć sklep z kapeluszami, a i takie szyldy najczęściej zostały wymienione na nowe. Fajnie jest chociaż przez chwilę móc pospacerować po takim "innym świecie"
The exhibition was very realistic, in the background you could hear cars and even planes passing nearby. And on the huge screen, you could see people walking along these streets. To this you can add real old gas lanterns and a paved road. Every detail has been taken care of.
Wystawa była bardzo realistyczna, w tle było słychać przejeżdżające w pobliżu samochody, a nawet samoloty. A na ogromnym ekranie widać było ludzi spacerujących po te ulicy. Do tego można dodać prawdziwe stare latarnie na gaz i brukowaną jezdnię. Zadbano o każdy detal.
