I think that, between the beach and the river, I like the river much more. And it is a difficult decision because the sunny climate of the beach is truly the mental image of what paradise is.
However, Pozo Azul, located in the state of Cojedes, Venezuela, is also a paradise.
On that occasion, I went with a group of acquaintances who are nature lovers, and thanks to them, I have discovered magazine-worthy places.
It's a pity that the photos I took were not the best, but first, it was because I wasn't focusing on taking them, but rather on enjoying the trip, and second, because I simply didn't want to, haha.
But here I share some with you so that you have a visual idea of the beauty of Pozo Azul.
Anyway, let's continue with the story of the trip.
We left from Valencia, and the van ride took approximately 40 minutes.
But the good part begins when you see a path that leads you toward the mountain right on the highway.
That's right, to reach the blue waters, you must travel about 6 km (I think) of ups and downs.
The difficulty level is intermediate.
So, if you are not in shape, you can go, but take it slow. And if you're a gym rat, it will be a piece of cake.
Whether you are or not, when you rest, you will be able to contemplate the landscape that nature offers.
The animals you can see (too bad I didn't take photos of them) are spectacular. Birds and monkeys (well, I only heard them) seem to welcome you as you arrive at the pools.
The day I went was a Saturday, and there were many people. On the one hand, it's good because you feel safe in some way, but on the other hand, these pools are small.
Therefore, it's not very pleasant to share little space.
But well, it's just me, as I'm a bit of a maniac about that. Anyway, I enjoyed the river like never before.
And since I'm adventurous, some friends and I climbed to the highest part where there were no people.
There the pools were alone, and it was a pleasant time.
The sound of the water and the birds, far from the hustle and bustle of the city or even the same people who were in the pools below, completely disappeared.
By the way, if you are into extreme adventures, you can do rope jumps. I thought about it for a moment, but I just wanted to swim, climb, and swim.
According to a guy who jumped, the experience was unforgettable.
I want to go back on a weekday when there aren't many people, or in that case, I plan to return to the upper part.
Note: Prevention is recommended. Bring your life jacket because the pools are deep. I say this because some people who weren't cautious have died. In fact, I don't know if it's true, but according to an acquaintance, access to the pool was closed for a while because of this. However, if you take precautions, you will come out unscathed and enjoy a beautiful afternoon.

Creo que, entre la playa y el río, me gusta mucho más el río. Y vaya que es una decisión difícil, porque el clima soleado de la playa es realmente la imagen mental de lo que es un paraíso.
Sin embargo, Pozo Azul, que queda en el estado Cojedes de Venezuela, es un lugar que también lo es.
En esa ocasión fui con un grupo de conocidos que son amantes de la naturaleza, y que gracias a ellos he conocido sitios de revista.
Es una lástima que las fotos que tomé no eran las mejores, pero primero se debe a que no estaba pendiente de tomarlas, sino de disfrutar del paseo, y segundo porque simplemente no quise, jaja.
Pero aquí les comparto algunas para que tengan una idea visual de la belleza de Pozo Azul.
En fin, sigamos con el cuento del viaje.
Salimos desde Valencia, y el recorrido en van dura aproximadamente unos 40 minutos.
Pero lo bueno comienza cuando en plena carretera ves una senda que te dirige hacia la montaña.
Así es, para llegar a las aguas azuladas debes recorrer unos 6 km (creo) entre bajadas y subidas.
Realmente el nivel de dificultad es intermedio.
Así que, si no estás en forma, puedes ir, pero poco a poco. Y si eres un "gym rat", pues se te hará pan comido.
Lo seas o no, en el momento que descansas, podrás contemplar el paisaje que regala la naturaleza.
Los animales que puedes ver (lástima que no les tomé fotos), son espectaculares. Aves y monos (bueno, solo los escuché) parecen darte la bienvenida a medida que vas llegando a los pozos.
El día que fui fue un sábado, y había mucha gente. Por un lado, es bueno porque de alguna u otra forma te sientes seguro, pero por otro, estos pozos son pequeños.
Por lo tanto, no es muy agradable del todo compartir poco espacio.
Pero bueno, soy yo, que soy un poco maniático con eso. De todos modos, disfruté del río como nunca.
Y como soy aventurero, unos amigos y yo subimos hasta la parte más alta, donde no había gente.
Allí los pozos estaban solos y la verdad es que fue un rato agradable.
El sonido del agua y los pájaros, lejos del bullicio de la ciudad o de incluso la misma gente que estaba en los pozos de abajo, desapareció por completo.
Por cierto, si eres de aventuras extremas, puedes hacer saltos con cuerdas. Lo pensé por un momento, pero quería solamente nadar, escalar y nadar.
Según un muchacho que se lanzó, la experiencia fue inolvidable.
Quiero volver un día de semana en el que no vaya mucha gente, o en tal caso, pienso volver a la parte de arriba.
Nota: se recomienda prevención. Lleva tu chaleco salvavidas porque los pozos son profundos. Digo esto porque algunas personas que no tuvieron precaución han fallecido. De hecho, no sé si es cierto, pero según un conocido, el acceso al pozo estuvo cerrado una temporada por lo mismo. Sin embargo, si previenes sales ileso y disfrutas de una bella tarde.

Aunque viví muchos años en Portuguesa no llegué a conocer este pozo, pero si otros de la zona, y la verdad es que son maravillosos parajes para ir a disfrutar.
si... me gusta mucho un río. No conozco los de Portuguesa. Debende ser refrescantes
