Every time my friend and I travel to a beautiful place we want to spend as much time outdoors as possible. And with those mountains and crystalline lakes it is necessary to enjoy the walks to the fullest because until the next one, we will not see a scene like this again. After traveling for three hours from Bariloche to Villa La Angostura, it was time to tour the new place we had arrived at, including one of the most traditional walks to Lake Correntoso 😃.
Cada vez que mi amiga y yo viajamos hasta un lugar hermoso queremos pasar la mayor cantidad de tiempo al aire libre. Y es que con esas montañas y lagos cristalinos es necesario disfrutar los paseos al máximo porque hasta el siguiente, no volveremos a ver un escenario como este. Después de viajar por tres horas desde Bariloche hasta Villa La Angostura, era hora de recorrer el nuevo lugar al que habíamos llegado, incluyendo uno de los paseos más tradicionales hasta el Lago Correntoso 😃.
When we finished doing some research at the information center, we learned that we could reach various points in Villa La Angostura by public transportation. Since we do not have our own vehicle, the existence of these services is very useful for us so distances are shortened. From the center, it only took us less than half an hour to get there and after a short walk, we were already on the shore of the lake 😃.
Cuando terminamos de investigar un poco en el centro de informes, supimos que podíamos llegar hasta varios puntos de Villa La Angostura en transporte público. Como no tenemos vehículo propio, que existan estos servicios es muy útil para nosotras así se nos acortan las distancias. Desde el centro, solo tardamos menos de media hora en llegar hasta allá y después de una pequeña caminata, ya estábamos en la orilla del lago 😃.
Although most visitors choose this place as a stopover, there is a camping service here. That there is a campsite in such a remote place is a positive thing because there are bathrooms and grocery stores where you can buy something to eat. Since we went in the fall and it was a little cold, there weren't many people camping, just a few in RVs, but overall this place was pretty lonely 😅.
A pesar de que la mayoría de los visitantes eligen este lugar de paso, aquí existe un servicio de camping. Que haya un camping en un lugar tan alejado es algo positivo porque hay baños y proveedurías en donde podes comprar algo para comer. Como fuimos en otoño y hacía un poco de frío, no había mucha gente acampando, solo algunas en casas rodantes pero en general, este lugar estaba bastante solitario 😅.
When I made my trip in the summer of last year, we had visited this place on a very hot day and people were bathing in this lake. Now, with the water frozen, this landscape is only useful to sit and appreciate its beauty and perhaps play to throw some stones into the water. After walking about 2 km, my friend and I set up our little picnic on the shore and as always on our trips, a little dog came up to us and spent the day with us. This thing about dogs chasing us is already a habit for us ❤️.
Cuando hice mi viaje en verano del año pasado, habíamos visitado este lugar en un día de mucho calor y la gente se bañaba en este lago. Ahora, con el agua congelada, este paisaje solo es útil para sentarse a apreciar su hermosura y quizás jugar a arrojar algunas piedras en el agua. Después de caminar unos 2 km, mi amiga y yo sentamos nuestro pequeño picnic en la orilla y como siempre en nuestros viajes, un perrito se nos acercó y pasó el día con nosotros. Esto de que nos persigan los perros ya es una costumbre para nosotras ❤️.
Since we are always walking late, on all the trips we have taken so far, my friend and I have had the opportunity to see a lot of sunsets. In particular, in this place the sun was hiding next to us, in the area of the houses around this lake, leaving the entire landscape free. The setting of the sun turned the sky into violet and pink tones, increasingly brighter. It was great ❤️.
Como siempre estamos paseando hasta tarde, en todos los viajes que hicimos hasta ahora, mi amiga y yo tuvimos la oportunidad de ver un montón de atardeceres. En particular, en este lugar el sol se escondía al costado de nosotros, en la zona de las casas alrededor de este lago, dejando libre todo el paisaje. La caída del sol fue volviendo el cielo en tonos violáceos y rosados, cada vez más brillantes. Fue genial ❤️.
Like what we had seen in Lake Gutiérrez in Bariloche, in this area of Neuquén a mist also rose as dusk approached. This fog begins to turn the landscape as if we were in a horror movie, so when this happened, it was better that we start making our way back. What these places of lakes and mountains have is that they are very beautiful during the day, but when the sun goes down, the darkness is almost absolute 😅.
Al igual que lo que habíamos visto en el Lago Gutiérrez en Bariloche, en esta zona de Neuquén también se levantaba una bruma a medida que iba llegando el atardecer. Esta niebla empieza a volver el paisaje como si estuviésemos en una película de terror, así que cuando esto pasaba, era mejor que empezáramos a emprender el camino de regreso. Lo que tienen estos lugares de lagos y montañas es que son muy hermosos de día, pero cuando el sol se va, la oscuridad es casi absoluta 😅.
Although on this trip my friend and I did not do many long treks, it was one of the ones with the most short walks. Villa La Angostura has many interesting landscapes to see and we wanted to reach as many as we could. An anecdote from this day is that when we returned to want to take the bus back, we missed it and it was the last service, so we had to walk back 3 km in the darkness of the route. Well, that was the cost of staying until the last minute of sunshine in a beautiful landscape but it was worth it 😅.
Si bien en este viaje mi amiga y yo no hicimos muchos trekkings largos, fue uno de los que más caminatas cortas tuvimos. Villa La Angostura tiene muchos paisajes interesantes para ver y queríamos llegar a todos los que pudiéramos. Una anécdota de este día es que cuando volvimos para querer tomar el colectivo de regreso, lo perdimos y era el último servicio, así que tuvimos que volver caminando 3 km en la oscuridad de la ruta. Bueno, ese fue el costo por quedarnos hasta el último minuto de sol en un paisaje hermoso pero valió la pena 😅.

What a beautiful view to sit and watch the calm water and the sunset. I would also love to go camping in this kind of place when there aren't too many people like how you experience it.

Well, let's say though that the mist on the lake as soon as the sun goes down, it gets a little scary but it's very beautiful, mysterious....
The fact that it is very dark in those areas is really enviable, when you look at the sky you don't just see Venus and Jupiter (they are the brightest), you can perfectly see the Milky Way and countless constellations...
I would lose hours there!!!
Without a doubt at night the sky must be amazing, so those who spend the night here must have a privileged view. These places are beautiful ❤️.
It's good that they have found a place to sit and have a picnic break, the place is simply magical.
