Good afternoon, WorldMappin friends, in this ever-changing Buenos Aires, where yesterday we had heat, today there is a big rain that does not stop. And among other things, I will take you for a walk to a somewhat similar day, that after raining all morning, in the afternoon it cleared and I went for a walk with my friend around Plaza de Mayo.

This post does not try to reflect everything you can see there, because the Casa Rosada did not even have a photo in this opportunity, another day I will show you iconic buildings. But as always when we stop there for some mates, we look at people, as others probably look at us, and laugh at the things we imagine.

Certainly the afternoon became a spectacle in the sky and the monuments and buildings that can be seen from there, had an enchanting tinge. I was able to capture the obelisk from afar, the monument in honor of the Argentine Revolution and some other that I don't know what it alludes to. It is very anecdotal, because from the first time we shared some mates, my friend noticed some statues of two men ringing a bell.

It is on a roof, on a roof, on a terrace, we don't know. We do know that it looks super cool and that one photo was enough to zoom in and see what they were doing, what they were doing, etc. We always look for them to give a while to the imagination about what its history might be, but we have not investigated it yet, we like the mystery it has for us.

In the end this central square is something that every city should have, I wonder how many people pass by every day, how many times I passed by here going to and coming from work, and how many times I sat down to enjoy it. I heard it is the oldest in the city and it even makes me tender and nostalgic. The historical events that happened here.Let's say that politically everything is concentrated here, and it was also the place where the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo gave rise to their peaceful protest walk around. Acts, events, love, disaffection, a square with a lot of revolution and history. For us it is impossible not to stop and talk about these issues.

Meanwhile, we see families, children, people running, others taking pictures, we see street vendors and others who enjoy the walk as we do. We see the afternoon fall, and the mates are finished, we turn to the other end, where the Cabildo is located, we think about the traffic here during the week, and how much a Sunday walk allows us to enjoy this space. As it is an area of buildings and labor, surely those who live here in residential mode, suffer what all capital, that on a Sunday you can not find where to do some shopping, but at the same time, have this peace, not to see the subway full of people, the streets impossible to cross and enjoy as we do corners of the city that sometimes are also beautiful when they are a little more “empty”.

To finish the post, I want to tell you that I'm going back to doing photo tours around the city, and not only sharing places or events that I photographed a lot, I like both photography and walking, so I hope you like it because I have more ideas and this will not be the last walk we do together in Buenos Aires.
