Hello Hiver!
I'm Dung! I am a travel lover, and always want to explore the beautiful natural landscapes in my beautiful Vietnam. I have a passion for the wild, for the green forests, for the high mountains, that I've always wanted to conquer. And my youth, I've been trying to accomplish all the goals I've set myself because I've been thinking: life only lives once, and youth only passes once. Therefore, I always live to the fullest with the present, content with what life has to offer, striving to live a life that is worth it.
And fortunately, I also met wonderful friends, who have the same interests and passions as me, and from trips to conquer the beautiful landscapes of Vietnam, we had experiences, precious memories that left good marks of youth. In my journeys to conquer Vietnam, there is a place that I was most impressed with, also a trip that left me with the most experience, which is the trip to conquer Ta Nang - Phan Dung, our team's 2 days and 1-night mountain hike, a difficult journey but it is also a special milestone for my youth.
Ta Nang-Phan Dung is the most beautiful trekking street in Vietnam, stretching across 3 provinces of Lam Dong, Ninh Thuan, and Binh Thuan, with a road length of about 55km. This trekking street is not difficult to walk, but it requires good health, stamina for walking, and a lot of cheap falls, so you need to hire a porter to lead the way because you can get lost in the deep forest and risk your life. Whether you want to explore or you want to try your best, you need a guide to come along. The guide is a local here, so he is very good at walking as well as this forest, so you can rest assured and follow their lead.
This arch consists of many different terrains, but mainly hills, both low and high mountains with erect slopes, which require you to be in good health, this arch discourages people who are in poor health. The vegetation in these forests is rich and varied, with primeval forests, soaring trees, hills with green vegetation in the rainy season, or grass burning in the dry season. Ta Nang - Phan Dung trekking street has 2 main destinations, the first is a landmark of intersection between Lam Dong and Binh Thuan provinces, with an altitude of 1,100m above sea level, the second is a pillar of intersection between 3 provinces: Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, and Ninh Thuan, with an altitude of 1,701m above sea level. This is for teams who have more time to explore.
In order to conquer any peak, you also need to prepare the necessary items for this trekking trip. First, you have to have a good pair of shoes, so that you can walk throughout the trip, if you have more sticks, the better because the path is steep, so it is also necessary to prepare a stick to fight, then food, water for 2 days, tents for you to sleep overnight because on the way there will be no lodging or homestay, not even houses for you to stay overnight. Instead, you will have to sleep in the tent, and sleeping in the tent is also familiar to people like us, or if you have never slept in the tent, it is also an experience that cannot be forgotten when conquering Ta Nang - Phan Dung. Necessary personal items you need to bring with you such as warm clothes, raincoat so that it can rain at any time, sunscreen, necessary medicine, insect repellent... Finally a good spirit, good health to conquer to the end without having to give up in the middle.
Our team conquered Ta Nang - Phan Dung with 9 people and 1 porter to lead the way. Since there wasn't much time for all of them, the trip was complete in two days. We took a coach from Da Nang to Da Lat, the bus arrived at Da Lat bus station at 5:00 AM, we moved by transit bus to the forest cover to prepare to start the trekking to conquer Ta Nang - Phan Dung. On the edge of the forest, we started having breakfast and taking a break. About 8:00 AM, we started to leave. With a spirit of excitement, everyone is happy, excited, and determined to conquer this peak.
The first part of our road was quite easy, the hills that we passed were low hills, and because it was the first day, we were in good health. But it was unfortunate for us that it rained because it was often difficult to predict in the rain forest. Because it's raining, it can't move fast. It wasn't until 5:00 PM that we reached our first stop, where we lowered our tents and rested for the next morning to continue our journey. The first day we were moving was a lot of effort, so it was great to stop and take pictures, and because of the beauty of the place, it also took some extra time to get to the stop. We go through grassy hills, then we go into forests, mostly pine forests, the grass here is higher, there is a place as high as the hip.
Walking in the middle of the dirt road with green trees on both sides, soaring trunks, feeling extremely excited, this is a true nature exploration that I have had before. Where we stopped to rest for the first day was called Hai Cay Thong Hill (Two Pine Tree Hill). This is a hill with a flat hilltop, where there's a camp built by the people. There are some pots and cookware left by the people here. We used them, along with the food that we had brought together to prepare dinner for the team. This hill is where most trekking people in Ta Nang - Phan Dung street stop to rest because the terrain and time are reasonable after a day of trekking. We prepared dinner together and gathered together by the fire for warmth. After a hard day of walking, it is also time to rest to regain your strength, so that the next day can continue this journey of conquering Ta Nang - Phan Dung.
I'm going to continue Day 2 of this journey in the next post.
Thank you for following my post today, hope you support and like it.
