Gorzegno a city and municipality in the Piedmont region in northern Italy, it is a community in the province of Cuneo in the Piedmont region. In addition to the ancient castle, this place is also very beautiful and interesting. We visited this place. The surrounding area is a natural valley. The road from the other side after we stayed and left the accommodation in that area is a mountain.
We found chestnuts that fell all over the road. There were a lot of them, so we stopped to collect them. The road we drove there was a small road. There weren't many cars passing by. Overall, it was very natural. It was in the middle of the Bormida Valley in a rich nature. After driving down from the high mountain, we approached the village of Gorzegno, which could be seen from the corner of the road we drove through. It was a village with an old castle in sight. We drove into the nearby village. The entrance was quiet, even though it was a village with people living there.
We drove into the village and went out to the other side to explore around. We found a hazelnut farm that was used to make Nutella. There were a lot of them here. From the other side, there was a river. This place was shady. There was a river flowing through it. The weather that day was quite cold, no sun, making this area even colder.
We drove back into the village. In the middle of the village, there was a village church as a prominent feature. The silence was so peaceful that almost no one was seen passing by. We drove up to the other side to explore around until we went out to the other side and came back in again. The beauty of the scene was like something out of a novel.
The name Gorzegno has Roman origins recorded on the numerous gravestones in the area. The evidence found is related to the history of Gorzegno Castle, which is now in ruins. Even though the castle has been destroyed, people still live there until today.
And this is the atmosphere of "Gorzegno" village in the middle of a beautiful valley, which is very fertile and beautiful. The atmosphere is good, there are beautiful views to take pictures and there are interesting historical stories. I hope everyone enjoys my post. Thank you for following. Have a nice day.
