Hello friends, how are you all? I hope you are all doing well. We have many different archaeological sites in Bangladesh, one of which is Mahasthangarh. Which is located about 200 kilometers from my home in a place called Mahasthan near the city of Bogra district. It is believed that it was built in the 3rd century BC and is still standing.
At one time, there were capitals of various kings in this region. But now they are no more. The place I will talk to you about today is Behula Laxminder's Basar Ghar. I remember when I was in class five, my teacher told me about it. He was teaching about Mahasthangarh in our class, then he told us about this Behula Laxminder's Basar Ghar. Later, I actually watched a Bangladeshi film about this subject, then I understood what it really is like.
Basically, it is a big monastery. There are many other monasteries around it, but I will introduce them to you later. Anyway, I went to that place by bus. I woke up in the morning, then I boarded the bus, then I traveled for about three hours and I went there. The road there was quite good. I was going by road, but I enjoyed the view of other districts from our district a lot.
First, I went to that place. I bought a ticket around here, my ticket price was 20 taka, after buying the ticket, I went inside. I first saw that there were some security guards who basically guarded it. I left them aside and went inside. I went there in the morning, due to which I saw many people there. I went inside, then I started taking pictures. The place is quite big, but this place is known as a monastery.
You can see that it has gone underground, that is, it collapsed due to an earthquake many years ago. But it was previously a house-shaped building and Buddhist students were usually taught here. Since it is from before the third century BC, you will not find many of its signs here anymore. However, when this place was excavated, many of its items were found and they were kept in a nearby museum.
Anyway, the place attracted me a lot. I stayed there for quite a while. I met my friend there after I left. I did not expect him to come there. I talked to him and the students who came here. Anyway, I liked the place very much. I hope to get your comments on my post. Thank you all.
