Trust you’re having a great day. Today, I want to share with you my experience at the La Pared beach in Ponce, Puerto Rico. A while back, I was in Puerto Rico and I happen to go see a lot of places . But unfortunately, I haven’t been able to share most of my experiences with you.
During my time in Puerto Rico, I came across this very kind lady who volunteered to show us around since she’s also from Africa. For my first couple of days there, I felt lost but meeting her changed the whole game for me.
One bright morning, myself and my team there got ready to go enjoy the view of the beach in the country. We had a bus ready to take us all the way to the beach which was about an hour away from the hotel we were lodged at.
We made our way past so many houses with walls designed with Graffiti and slowly, we could hear the waves from the beach. Ahead of us on the shores of the beach we’re families enjoying their time at the beach and doing so many fun stuff.
Now,what’s a trip without food? We stopped by a food kiosks and got some food. I don’t really know what these stuff are called and so, I’ll leave it to you.
This was made from plantain and I loved it but it was a bit pepperish.
This, had some smoked fish in it but I really don’t know the whole composition. Regardless, I still ate it.😂
We had our meals on the way and before we realised, we were at the shores of the La Pared beach. The huge drum sitting in the area gave it a homey vibe. Man, this drum was about twice my height
There were also some seats places near the almost falling or should I say hanging coconut trees which added to the whole aesthetic. There was also some sort of a bridge right before you make your way to the beach and I loved the view from there. We had some fun and off we were to check out other places.
On our way back , we came across this Calabash tree which was my first time seeing one. In Ghana, we make our calabashes, some spoons for drinking and even furniture from this. Funny seeing it in another country.🤭 I guess this is part of the whole experience.
This is where I would stop today, I hope you enjoyed reading this and I’m happy to have been able to share my experience with you. Thank you for your time.
