Hello travelers of the world!
Every trip is a new adventure full of expectations and new places to know, in previous years I had gone to La Puerta with my family but I didn't know that there was a nursery called Mora Café and thanks to my last tour I was able to know it and take a nice experience with me.
As we entered the nursery we were covered by a roof full of grapes, what a creative way to create a vineyard and at the same time share this wonderful fruit with us, I was delighted to see them.
Then a grassy path led us to a beautiful garden full of greenery, with flowers of all colors and ornamental plants, old wheelbarrows seemed to have a second chance serving as huge nurseries for different plants.
We descended another path where blackberry plants, banana plants, lavender and Christmas flowers were the protagonists, a white bunny gave little jumps and came to greet us, herbs such as lavender, rosemary and chamomile impregnated with its smell at the end of it.
A swimming pool with pure spring water was waiting for us and it looked quite striking but it was too cold to take a bath, the tables where we were going to taste jam, tea and coffee were too creative elaborated by a painter.
But before we went to see the coffee plants, it is incredible the process to harvest each grain, the nursery manager explained to us that once the seed is planted we wait from 2 to 3 years to see the appearance of its first harvest, which begins with the appearance of its flower, then the fruit grows who initially is green and when it is ripe changes to red and is ready to remove its grain from the inside, to later take to the roasting process, the harvests are annual but in this site because it is a very fertile land can have 2 or 3 a year.
Then he prepared a table for us with honey, blackberries in fruits and jam and herbal teas, all are made by them and are for sale, depending on their size their prices vary from 5$ and up, we tasted everything, starting with coffee its aroma and flavor were amazing, followed by lemon balm tea accompanied with honey and finally cookies with blackberry jam which was my favorite because it was sweetened with honey and not with processed sugar, which made my palate vibrate with its natural sweetness.
Our short tour came to an end, but I was very happy to connect with nature through this beautiful nursery, full of fresh air and fruits, herbs and ornamental plants that thanks to its geographical location can occur in these fertile lands.
See you soon, a traveling hug.
