Nikhom Prathip Temple (Kok Lo Temple)
Wat Nikhom Prathip is a temple of the people belonging to the Mahanikaya sect. There are interesting buildings such as the chapel, bell tower and pagoda.

Today, I will take you to experience the peace and beauty of an old temple, a symbol of Trang.
That is Wat Kok Lo or another name is Wat Nikhom Prateep.
This temple has been connected to my life 3 times because it is a place that I have visited 3 times in different periods of my life. The first time I came to this temple was when I was 21 years old during the military draft, which was a time full of anxiety and uncertainty. I remember that the atmosphere in the temple was lively because they organized a lottery for black and red cards to choose for military draft here. And I was one of them, but I chose red. When I came that way, I did not walk around the temple. When I finished choosing soldiers, I went home. The second time I came to Wat Nikhom Prateep was for my nephew's ordination ceremony. At that time, I was over 40 years old. The ceremony was full of warmth and happiness of the family. At that time, I did not walk around the temple. I just went into the chapel to the back of the chapel. When the ordination ceremony was over, I went home. As for the third time today, I came back to this temple again to see the temple and take some impressive pictures to share with my friends. I saw the changes in this place. Many things have changed, starting from the entrance gate and the temple walls.
When I got close, I parked my car at Wat Nikhom Prathip. I parked my car and got out to take a picture of the temple gate. Then I drove into the temple area. I noticed a new wall and an old wall, which are 2 walls. There is a new temple gate and an old temple gate. The new gate is a beautiful and modern, contemporary gate. I will walk to take a picture of both gates, which are about 50 meters or 30 meters apart.
I walked inside the temple and found various statues including a golden Dharmachakra on a base, clearly visible. There are also deer on both sides of the Dharmachakra, which is an important corner in Buddhism because it is made to represent the wheel of Dharma that the Buddha turned.
It is a glass building. When you enter the temple, it will be on the left. I don't know what kind of building it is. It is inside the temple. In front of the building, there are trees and a small garden. It looks very shady. In front of the garden, there are Buddha statues and various statues in this area.
In this area, there is a reclining Buddha image.
Wat Nikhom Prateep is a temple of the people under the Mahanikaya sect. As for the reclining Buddha image, people who visit this temple pay homage, which can be seen from the incense and candles.
Inside the temple, in the area of Wat Nikhom Prateep, there is also a statue of Phra Sivali. Around this area, there are buildings and trees providing shade and there are places to sit and relax.
On the right side is a pavilion with a golden Buddha statue standing inside and offerings placed in front. My wife and I went in to pay respect to the Buddha before walking around the temple. It seemed like there was another pavilion behind it with quite a few people. I noticed that there were people in the temple wearing black. There must be a funeral ceremony in that pavilion. I walked around taking pictures and walking around the temple in this area. I didn’t want to disturb the funeral.
Busabok
In this pavilion, in addition to the standing Buddha statue, there is also a beautiful patterned Busabok, decorated with both golden yellow and red colors.
This area can park your car or the parking lot. Motorcycles, cars, motorcycles
I continued walking in the temple area.
This area is a particularly interesting stop, the boat pulling the Buddha image, which is prominently parked in this area. This boat is an interesting work of art and a beautiful piece of culture. The details are very beautiful. There is delicacy and creativity in the patterns of the Naga gods and angels or other patterns related to Buddhism, which are beautifully carved and decorated on this boat.
I walked until I reached the beautiful building. This point is called a temple. It is a very beautiful building. Inside, there is a Buddha statue. But I did not go in to take pictures inside. I only took pictures of the building. Outside, there are 2 Naga at the entrance. In front of the building on the road, there are many bells hanging in a row. Having many bells helps to increase the beauty and prominence of this temple a lot. So I walked to find a photo angle because I wanted a beautiful picture of the temple with the bells.
When walking to the bell tower which can be seen from afar, at the time I walked there, it was a bit chaotic because there were many cars parked there. There was a funeral ceremony in progress in that area, making the area lively with people who came to join the ceremony. Cars were parked everywhere. It was not easy for me to walk in and take pictures of the bell tower. So I slowly walked away from people and cars to find a suitable position to take pictures. But no matter how chaotic it was, I could still feel the beauty and uniqueness of this temple. I tried to take pictures of the bell tower from different angles to capture the beauty of the architecture and the atmosphere around this temple.
Walk further to the back of this area and you will see a square building with white color, which is the “Burd”, an ancient church. In front, there is a sign with text on the sign. The text on the sign has detailed information about the temple and the text on the sign has text with details about the ancient site. Around the church, there are trees, making this area look shady. In conclusion, this temple is an ancient site that is important in history and culture. I walked around and took pictures around the church, which I could not go inside because it was locked.
Then I walked to another building. Inside, there were murals depicting the Buddha in various poses.
Walk past the church and you will see the Meru Mas clearly from this angle. There is also a building for holding banquets or performing various ceremonies in this area. This temple has a fairly large area. In addition, I also walked to take pictures in the area where the remains of the deceased are kept near the temple wall.
