Wat Prasitphichai
(Wat Tha Chin)
Trang Province
Hello everyone
In this post, I will take you to see a temple together.
This temple is called Wat Prasitchai (Wat Tha Chin).
This temple is located in Tambon Bang Rak, Amphoe Mueang Trang, Trang Province.
This afternoon, the weather was very nice. I decided to travel to a temple that is not far from my house, about 4-5 kilometers away. I arrived at my destination, Wat Prasitchai or as the locals call it,
Wat Tha Chin.
I have heard the story of this temple from my brother who used to be a monk here. This temple is the temple of the villagers' hearts. However, in this area, some villagers call it Wat Tha Chin.
I have heard the story of this temple from my brother who used to be a monk here. This temple is a garden of the people's hearts and this area.
When entering the temple, you can feel the peace and shade of the large trees spreading their branches.
I walked and observed the temple area and found that there was a school building for Dhamma students. Today, it was also close to the school. When I started walking on the lawn and looked ahead, I saw a large church with pine trees planted in front of it, so I took a picture. I also took a picture of the bell tower. It is a very beautiful bell tower. The temple area is quite wide and there is also a lawn. When I finished taking pictures of this area, I walked to another place, which is
The bell tower at Wat Tha Chin is quite tall and can be clearly seen from a distance. The large building is colorful and has Thai patterns.
I walked around taking pictures outside the church, which was very beautiful and delicate. In front of the church, there were many pine trees. This area was a wide lawn.
This chapel is beautiful because the colors of the chapel contrast very well: gold, red, green, and white, making it really stand out.
Ubosot
This temple building is very beautiful. It stands out from afar and catches the eye. When I wanted to go up and take pictures, I walked to the monks. I saw them sitting there, so I asked for permission to take pictures of the temple grounds and the Buddha statues and the buildings. The monks allowed me.
This Ubosot is very beautiful. This Ubosot has 2 floors. The lower floor is the monks' quarters. Let me show you the upper floor first. Walk up the stairs. On both the left and right sides, there are 2 dragons. They are beautiful green.
There is also a dragon crawling down from the pillar in front of the chapel, which is very beautiful. It is a prominent feature of the temple, so everyone who visits must definitely come up to see it, including myself.
When I stepped into the chapel, the interior was carpeted and had a red ceiling. There were Buddha statues and wax figures of the abbot.
When I looked up at the ceiling, I saw beautiful lamps and pictures of monks or abbots on the walls, both on the left and right. So I paid my respects before leaving and made merit.
The donation box was also inside the chapel.
The windows of the chapel are very beautiful. The colors are bright and colorful because they are gold, blue, and red, which are very popular colors.
The golden statue of Phra Sangkachai. In addition, there is a sign in this area indicating the place to light firecrackers to fulfill a vow, which is a Buddhist tradition when receiving what you wish for.
I walked around taking pictures. There is a school nearby at this temple. Even when I was taking pictures, I saw monks and devotees cleaning the area. I walked around taking pictures of the ruins in front and behind. You can’t go inside. If you go in, you can only go through the outer door. You can’t go inside the inner door because the abbot took the key with him.
The doors and windows of the church are beautifully painted with literary motifs. All the windows are similar, including the paintings.
On the way back, I came across a two-story wooden building that looked distinctive. It looked like a monk's residence or a building for various temple activities. The surrounding area was shady and looked very peaceful with trees.
When I took pictures at each point and walked around, this temple is near the Trang River canal. The atmosphere of this temple
looks very shady and peaceful inside the temple, which is very suitable for practicing Dhamma and relaxing. In this area, there are big trees and a cement floor along the canal. I walked to take pictures and enjoy nature in this area. This area is behind the temple. I walked along the cement path until the end. When I reached the end, I found many kinds of animals in cages behind the temple. There were geese, sun conures, green cheeked parrots, and many other species of birds, including chickens and eagles. There were many other animals that I did not know in this area. I intended to walk back to my car. Along the way, I saw a large sign that said, “Free Ordination Project”, which is an opportunity for students who want to study Dhamma and train themselves from Mathayom 1 to Mathayom 6. I consider this temple to be a fun and educational temple.
Today, I have to say goodbye. When I have a chance, I will bring beautiful temples for my friends to see again.
