Hello everyone
Today, I intended to drive out of my house to visit a temple in Trang Province. Today, I drove to Nam Phut Village. While driving up the hill, I glanced at a large sign on the edge of the hill. The sign clearly said Tham Khao Ket. Of course, along the way, I took quite a long time to decide. With doubts and hesitation in my mind, I consulted my wife. We looked at each other, uncertain whether to stop by or not. Because my original travel plan did not include this place. But because I wanted to know and want to see inside, I decided to turn the car in according to the sign. I drove up the hill.
The road is quite steep, but both sides of the road are full of trees. If you look carefully, you will see that the trees have been newly planted. The trees I saw in the garden were the Chandpha tree and ornamental flowers. Driving along, I looked at the surrounding area and felt that the atmosphere was shady, the atmosphere was good, and it was quiet. When I reached the top of the cave, the first thing I felt was the peace. And in this cave, the temple area looked very organized.
The peaceful atmosphere and the shady atmosphere are the signs that I am here peaceful. I started exploring the surrounding area as soon as I got out of the car. My eyes searched for the caretaker of this place, whether it was a monk or a nun, but I did not find anyone at first. What I saw in front of me was a wide field and with the shady atmosphere of large trees, the atmosphere was very cool. This area looks very natural, like a large forest. In addition, there are also houses in this area. It looks like this place is a place for meditation.
When I walked up the hill a little further and took pictures of 3-4 houses, I assumed that this place was a place for meditation. Not long after, I met an aunt and a grandmother who came to greet me. When I talked to them, I found out that both of them were relatives of the abbot. The grandmother was his mother and the aunt was his younger sister. With my interest and curiosity, I asked for permission to take pictures and walk around the place. But before taking pictures and walking around the place, I asked my mother and aunt for information about this place. Both of them kindly told me the story of the abbot and this place.
The history of Phra Chao Ket is a place for meditation that has been built for some time now. The abbot is the leader in developing and taking care of this place. The aunt and grandmother said that this place is a place for meditation, morning and evening prayers because it is peaceful and everything is natural. The abbot bought and built this place himself. Therefore, this place has become a place for monks to stay. Grandma Lek and the aunt told about the abbot's intention. This place is a place for those who want peace and meditation. He told stories of people who have come to meditate here and received peace.
Then I walked to see the place of meditation. I walked up to the wide open space where there were many Buddha statues and sacred objects on the cave walls and altars. The atmosphere in this area was very good because if you looked up, you would see a cave and if you looked up, you would see the mountain top. On the wall of the mountain top, you would see a cave with small holes on top.
My wife and I walked up to Tham Chao Ket on top. We were very excited. It was a small door that opened to go up the stairs. When you walk up, there are two ways down the stairs. I kept walking up and taking pictures. The walls of the stairs have different pictures attached to them and there is a lotus pond planted in this area as well. I walked until I reached the top of the cave. Before going into the cave, I took a picture of the area on the right-hand side first. In this area, there are many sacred items.
Start by taking a picture of a big gong and a red giant. In addition, there is a filter hanging in the front area. There is a statue of grandparents sitting with a bowl of incense for worship.
Inside the cave, there are many Buddha statues. The interior is very beautiful. I started taking pictures of the Buddha statues inside the cave and paid my respects before walking out. After walking around the cave, I came out to sit and relax in front of the cave, which is a wide open space. I looked at the view of the mountains and forests in this area around me amidst the silence. The air up there was very good. The wind was cool and comfortable.
In addition, I also took pictures of the area in front of the temple, taking pictures of the surrounding scenery. I took pictures from above down. I never thought that this place would hide its beauty and be a place for practicing Dhamma. I felt very good that I decided to visit this place because in addition to experiencing the beauty of nature and Buddhist art, I also found a place for practicing Dhamma, Tham Chao Ket.
Today, I would like to say goodbye.
