"La salina" beach a beautiful place [Eng/Esp]

Living on an island of course gives me access to many beaches, and although many think that by living on an island we live from beach to beach, the sad reality is that work and daily chores limit us a lot, especially if you are a parent, since the weekend is usually quite busy, However, we take advantage of the vacations to take a little getaway and enjoy the sea, which by the way, is quite close to me, so today I wanted to come to show you a little piece of paradise where I live and that we were visiting these days of carnival.

La Salina, as my mom calls this little beach we went to, is located in the Antolín del Campo Municipality, in Margarita Island, Venezuela, in a little fishing village called Puerto Fermín, where I have been living for a few years with my family, so I am blessed to have the sea just a few blocks from my house, and this is exactly the one that is closest to me, in fact we can walk there and arrive in a few minutes.

This beach is specifically located in a small town called "Puerto Abajo ", a fishing community, full of small houses located right in front of the sea, and where you can see the fishermen's boats stranded on its shore, and if you are lucky if you go at the right time you can enjoy the fishermen's work when they go fishing or when they return from their day, which is really nice to see, or at least in my case, it is something I enjoy very much.

It is a somewhat solitary beach, with a moderate swell, ideal for children to use their boards and run some waves, it also has many palm trees and a good stretch of sand to enjoy family games, and as you can see in the pictures, it is not very big, in fact you can walk it completely in a few minutes, starting from what is known as La Salina to the inlet or bay of Puerto Abajo, where there is a rock formation that separates it from "Playa Pargüito ", one of the most visited beaches on the island.

The water temperature is usually quite pleasant and not very cold, which allows you to enjoy much more of its crystalline waters, although I must say that on this visit I felt it colder than usual, but as the sun was in all its splendor the truth is that my kids did not even notice it and enjoyed the day at the beach a lot.

In my case, one of the things I love, and enjoy very much about this beach is the view of the palm trees and the boats that are on the shore, the beautiful colors that create a simply beautiful landscape, and takes me back to my childhood when I came on vacation to the island and with my cousins we would get on the boats to play and make up pirate stories.

This beach is ideal if you go in a relaxed plan, to share and enjoy the sun, the sand and the sound of the sea, besides giving you some privacy, because it is very little visited, the truth is an excellent choice to go with the family, yes, you must bring absolutely everything, because it does not have food services, or awnings, so if one day you want to visit, go prepared and I assure you that you will not regret it.

Vivir en una isla por supuesto que me da acceso a muchísimas playas, y aunque muchos piensan que por vivir en una isla vivimos de playa en playa, la triste realidad es que el trabajo y los quehaceres del día a día nos limitan un montón, sobre todo si eres padre, ya que el fin de semana suele ser bastante movido, sin embargo aprovechamos las vacaciones o algún feriado para darnos una escapadita y disfrutar del mar, que por cierto, me queda bastante cerca, así que hoy quise venir a mostrarles un pedacito del paraíso donde vivo y que estuvimos visitando en estos días de carnaval.

La Salina, como dice mi mamá que se llama esa playita a la que fuimos, está ubicada en el Municipio Antolín del Campo, en Isla Margarita, Venezuela, en un pueblito de pescadores llamado Puerto Fermín, en donde vivo hace unos cuantos años con mi familia, así que tengo la bendición de tener el mar a solo unas cuadras de mi casa, y ésta justamente es la que me queda más cerca, de hecho podemos ir caminando y llegar en pocos minutos.

Esta playa se encuentra específicamente ubicada en un pueblito llamado "Puerto Abajo", una comunidad de pescadores, llena de casitas ubicadas justo frente al mar, y en la que puedes ver las embarcaciones de los pescadores varadas en su orilla, y con suerte si vas a las horas adecuadas puedes disfrutar de la faena de los pescadores al salir a pescar o cuando regresan de su jornada, lo que es realmente muy lindo de ver, o por lo menos en mi caso, es algo que disfruto mucho.

Es una playa un tanto solitaria, con un oleaje moderado, ideal para que los chicos usen sus tablas y corran algunas olas, aparte cuenta con muchas palmeras y una buena extensión de arena para disfrutar de juegos en familia, y como ven en las fotos, no es muy grande, de hecho puedes recorrerla por completo en pocos minutos, partiendo desde lo que se conoce como La Salina hasta la ensenada o bahía de Puerto Abajo, donde se encuentra una formación rocosa que la separa de "Playa Pargüito", una de las más visitadas de la isla.

La temperatura del agua generalmente es bastante agradable y no suele ser muy fría, lo que te permite disfrutar muchísimo más de sus cristalinas aguas, aunque debo decir que en esta visita la sentí más fría que de costumbre, pero como el sol estaba en todo su esplendor la verdad mis chicos ni lo notaron y disfrutaron un montón del día de playa.

En mi caso, una de las cosas que amo, y disfruto muchísimo de esta playa es la vista de las palmeras y los botes que se encuentran en la orilla, el colorido tan lindo que tienen crea un paisaje simplemente hermoso, y me traslada un poco a mi infancia cuando venía de vacaciones a la isla y con mis primos nos subíamos a los botes a jugar e inventar historias de piratas.

Esta playa es ideal si vas en un plan relajado, para compartir y disfrutar del sol, la arena y del sonido del mar, además de brindarte cierta privacidad, pues es muy poco visitada, la verdad es una excelente opción para ir con la familia, eso sí, debes llevar absolutamente todo, pues no cuenta con servicios de comida, ni toldos, así que si un día deseas visitarla, ve preparado y te aseguro que no te arrepentirás.
