Visiting Adícora - The Windy Paradise

in Worldmappin21 hours ago

Greetings, friends of Worldmapping! What a joy to be sharing with you again one of my trips through the beautiful Venezuela. This time I will tell you a little about my experience in Adícora, a beach town in the state of Falcón, in the Paraguaná Peninsula, in the northwest of the country.

The first thing that captured my attention during the trip were the views of the sea for long hours from the road, it was a relaxing experience, as I could appreciate the different shades of blue of the ocean as we were driving along the road. For example, in the following picture we can see one of these wonderful sea views from the coast of Tucacas, just entering the state of Falcon.

When we were already in the capital of the state, Coro, about to go up to the Paraguaná Peninsula, we could see Los Medanos de Coro, a spectacular dune formation that attracts the attention of locals and foreigners alike. These dunes can reach great heights and the wind molds them into impressive shapes. It is well known that in Venezuela we are fortunate to have practically all types of climates and landscapes, be they beaches, jungles, snow, savannahs or deserts. It is a privilege to be from this beautiful and fascinating country.

Once in the town of Adícora there was a lot to see, and I took advantage of the first day to visit some of these beautiful places. The first thing I visited was the iconic lighthouse, which currently has a merely decorative and symbolic function. The structure is about 17 meters high. From there you can see the waves of the sea breaking against the rocks.

In the same way I approached the fishermen's embarkation and disembarkation area. In this area fishing is very important and represents, together with tourism, one of the main sources of economic income for the inhabitants. There is an abundant diversity of seafood and fish species to delight us in the gastronomic area.

One of the aspects that characterize Adícora is its strong breeze; hence it is called the paradise of wind, which is why certain areas are especially suitable for sports such as windsurfing, kitesurfing, among others.

The second day I took a walk along the shore of the beach and also took the opportunity to get into the sea and enjoy the warm waters that Adícora offers.

Along the beach you can see food stalls and a very colorful atmosphere that is enhanced by the warmth of its friendly people.

Finally I leave you a picture I took from the inn overlooking the sea, it is a real pleasure to peek through the window and enjoy this view of the majestic blue ocean and feel the warmth of the sea breeze on your face.

I hope you liked Adicora and its natural charms. If you ever visit the Paraguaná Peninsula, don't forget to stop by this town of beautiful beaches, a lot of wind and warm people. Thanks for joining me here, see you in an upcoming tourist adventure.

One of the things I like most about Adícora and that I enjoy when I visit is that it is a very colorful town and that catches my attention. Besides that, its beaches with few waves are perfect to just relax and enjoy.
