Hello world travelers!
In recent days we were able to enjoy a magnificent post that @elviguitarra gave us to show us his impressions during one of his trips to the city where I was born and where I have always resided.
Motivated by his journey, today I share with you other details related to the center of this city of Santa Clara, in the center of #Cuba, and where I pass through daily.
My goal is to encourage curiosity in you and invite you to visit us soon!
Specifically, I share with you my tour of the Plaza de Armas, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Mercado, Plaza Constitucional, Plaza de Recreo, or as it is currently called, Parque Leoncio Vidal.
Its beginnings date back to the end of the 17th century, undergoing numerous changes until obtaining its current characteristics where you can see that it is surrounded by a set of colonial buildings in optimal construction condition, others that require remodeling and some relatively modern buildings that give it an excellent attractiveness due to its strategic distribution.
For many years, it was significant how white people were the only ones who could walk through the interior of its design. While people of mixed or black color had to settle for surrounding the periphery of the square.
Today, although this peculiarity does not exist, it is interesting how the population has come to assume that there are various small areas where singular characteristics predominate in terms of the people who occupy them. We can see, for example, that there are areas occupied mostly by teenagers or young people who like rock or hip hop culture, very close to each other.
Other areas are occupied mainly by elderly people, who visit the place daily to relax, talk and spend time in the company of others like them.
There are of course heterogeneous areas where we can see that they do not receive visits from specific urban tribes, rather near the central roundabout, a place where for many years the tradition of holding free concerts by the Provincial Symphony Orchestra has been maintained.
See how this southern corner of the park is dominated by teenagers who meet there after their academic classes.
It is also a place surrounded by popular characters. One of them is El Muñeco, a young singer who gives everyone the songs they ask for. He is always smiling and surprising everyone with his vocal quality and the humility with which he lives.
Another feature that keeps the place beautiful is that every day, early in the day, it is cleaned with pressure water by specific workers.
Due to the beauty of its vegetation and the environment, a refuge for fauna that we will refer to in future publications, it is common to find teenagers taking photographs to immortalize the memory of their age.
Of course, it is surrounded by hotels and places to enjoy, alone or in company, refreshing drinks, delicious coffee and food, among other options and attractions that we will also discuss in subsequent trips that we make to this excellent community.

En días recientes pudimos disfrutar de un magnífico post que nos regalara @elviguitarra para mostrarnos sus impresiones durante uno de sus viajes a la ciudad donde nací y en la que siempre he residido.
Motivado por su recorrido, hoy les comparto otros detalles relacionados con el centro de esta ciudad de Santa Clara, en el centro de #cuba, y por donde transito a diario.
Mi objetivo es lograr incentivar en ustedes la curiosidad e ¡invitarlos a que nos visiten pronto!
Específicamente les comparto mi recorrido por la Plaza de Armas, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Mercado, Plaza Constitucional, Plaza de Recreo, o como actualmente se denomina, Parque Leoncio Vidal.
Sus inicios se remontan a finales del siglo XVII, sufriendo numerosos cambios hasta obtener las características actuales donde podrán observar se encuentra rodeado por un conjunto de edificaciones coloniales en óptimo estado constructivo, otras que requieren remodelación y algún edificio relativamente moderno que le confiere un atractivo excelente por su distribución estratégica.
Durante muchos años, fue significativo cómo las personas de color blanco eran quienes únicamente podían transitar por el interior de su diseño. Mientras que las personas de color mestizo o negro tenían que conformarse con rodear la periferia de la plaza.
Hoy día, si bien esta peculiaridad no existe, sí resulta interesante cómo la población ha ido asumiendo que existen diversas áreas pequeñas donde predominan caraterísticas singulares en cuanto a las personas que las ocupan. Podemos ver, por ejempo, que existen áreas ocupadas en su mayoría por adolescentes o jóvenes a quienes les gusta la cultura rock o hip hop bien cercanas entre sí.
Otras áreas son ocupadas mayormente por personas de la tercera edad, que visitan a diario el lugar para distraerse, conversar y pasar el tiempo en compañía de otros iguales a ellos.
Hay por supuesto áreas heterogéneas donde podemos apreciar que no reciben la visita de tribus urbanas específicas, más bien cerca de la glorieta central, sitio donde durante muchos años se ha mantenido la tradición de realizar conciertos gratuitos por parte de la Orquesta Sinfónica Provincial.
Vean cómo en esta esquina sur del parque predominan adolescentes que coinciden en el lugar luego de sus clases académicas.
También es un sitio rodeado de personajes populares. Uno de ellos es El Muñeco, un joven cantante que regala a todos las canciones que le pidan. Siempre está sonriendo y sorprendiendo a todos por su calidad vocal y la humildad con que vive.
Otra de las particularidades que mantiene hermoso el lugar, es que a diario, temprano en el día, es limpiado con agua a presión por trabajadores específicos para ello.
Por la belleza de su vegetación y el entorno, refugio de una fauna a la cual nos referiremos en próximas publicaciones, es común encontrarnos a adolescentes realizándose fotografías para inmortalizar el recuerdo de la edad.
Por supuesto, está rodeado de hoteles y sitios para disfrutar, solos o en compañía, de bebidas refrescantes, café delicioso y alimentos, entre otras opciones y atractivos sobre los cuales abordaremos también en posteriores viajes que realicemos para esta excelente comunidad.

No tengo confirmación aún si será en mi ciudad este año el Capablanca. También me apasiona el ajedrez pues en mi ciudad es donde más eventos nacionales e internacionales se efectúan relacionado con el ajedrez. Además, mantengo vínculo estrecho con el deporte en general pues soy psicólogo deportivo.
Ojalá el evento sea en Santa Clara y podamos conocernos y verte jugar.

Amiga me dice mi esposo que es en Varadero, mi esposo creo que va como árbitro y mi hijo a jugar, también visitaremos amigos del ajedrez que vinieron y pasaron un tiempo aquí en la Isla de Margarita apoyando nuestros atletas en su formación como parte del intercambio Cuba Venezuela hace años
