Introduction
In this article I visit the Riessloch waterfalls in the Bavarian Forest. Since there are several thousand pictures from there, I chose small details on the way there and unusual perspectives. The technique of long exposure with a tripod and ND filters was used, with some pictures I show two versions, one short and one long exposure. Have fun on the hike!
Einleitung
In diesem Artikel besuche ich die Rießlochwasserfälle im Bayerischen Wald. Da es von dort mehrer Tausend Bilder gibt habe ich mir kleine Details auf dem Weg dorthin und ungewöhnliche Perspektiven ausgesucht. Zur Anwendung kam die Technik der langen Belichtung mit Stativ und ND Filtern, bei manchen Bildern zeige ich zwei Versionen, einmal kurz und einmal lang belichtet. Viel Spaß bei der Wanderung!
Getting there
From Bodenmais it goes north on the Rießlochweg to the last parking lot which is a short distance after the last houses. From here on, the stream is on the left and is always in view the whole way. The hike is only recommended with good shoes as the wide path quickly narrows and then leads over hill and dale.
Anreise
Von Bodenmais geht es Richtung Norden auf dem Rießlochweg bis zum letzten Parkplatz der ein kurzes Stück nach den letzten Häusern ist. Von hier ab befindet sich der Bachlauf auf der linken Seite und ist auf der ganzen Wegstrecke immer im Blickfeld. Die Wanderung ist nur mit guten Schuhen zu empfehlen da der breite Weg schnell enger wird und dann über Stock und Stein führt.

Facts
The waterfalls are the highest and largest in the Bavarian Forest. The gorge is located 780 to 920 meters above sea level and is about 1.6 km long. The imposing main falls are 55 meters in several steps and are a spectacle, especially after rainfall.

Fakten
Die Wasserfälle sind die höchsten und größten im Bayerischen Wald. Die Schlucht befindet sich in 780 bis 920 Metern Höhe und ist etwa 1,6 km lang. Die imposanten Hauptfälle fallen in mehren Stufen 55 Meter tief und sind besonders nach Regenfällen ein Spektakel.

Impressions
The area surrounding the falls is wild jungle, there are strict trails. When the weather was beautiful, there was of course a lot of activity on the narrow path and I have to wonder how I managed not to bring any people to the pictures.

Impressionen
Die Umgebung der Fälle ist wilder Urwald, es herrscht striktes Wegegebot. Bei schönstem Wetter war natürlich ein reger Betrieb auf dem schmalen Weg und ich muß mich wundern wie ich es geschafft habe keine Menschen mit auf die Bilder zu bringen.

The hike is highly recommended and declared as easy. So if you are in the area do not miss these falls!
Die Wanderung ist sehr zu empfehlen und als leicht deklariert. Solltest Du also in der Gegend sein lass Dir diese Fälle nicht entgehen!

Wow! A very nice hike into the forest! I didn’t know you also have nice and big waterfalls in your European climate! I would love hiking in your forest as there are not as many poisonous snakes as we have here!! LoL
We have killed everything in our forests :) There is only the wind, rain and snow dangerous.
In the alps there a bigger ones, soon there will be a post about two of them.
Oh! Ni! But the dragons are still hiding under the mountains! I hope humans will respect the forests and nature! The dragons might get angry and come out one day!!
