Today I am sharing about my experience on the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina.
Before this trip my knowledge of the Blue Ridge Mountains came from John Denver.
The opening verse:
Almost Heaven, West Virginia
Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, growin' like a breeze...
The Blue Ridge Parkway is 469 miles and is goes from Shenandoah National Park in the north to the Smoky Mountains National Park in the south.
Here is a map of the Blue Ridge Parkway and then the Blue Ridge Mountains, the parkway follows the mountains.
We drove a very small section just outside of Asheville, North Carolina.
First stop: Haw Creek Valley
Second Stop: Tanbark Ridge Overlook
Third Stop: Bull Creek Valley
This was probably my favorite stop. So Beautiful!
Driving on the Parkway
Fourth stop: Lane Pinnacle
Fog
As an Arizona girl any weather besides sun is exciting!
We pulled into a parking lot by a park and took a selfie and spooky trees.
This is a picture of the parking lot.
Then we were on the road again.

Love a good girls trip!
Oh, such lush greenery, so nice! And these fogs, I just adore them. These spooky trees in the fog turned out great :)
Thanks so much!
Beautiful scenery Sara! I can imagine driving there in the autumn when the leaves have turned into an array of yellow would be even more stunning
The fall would be amazing!
