in Worldmappin4 days ago

After climbing Las Tetas hill, in Tinaquillo, we returned to the tourist stop where we had left our luggage and there we boarded Jeeps to continue the trip to another part of Cojedes state, La Sierra.

We were told that the ride was a bit long and bumpy, mostly because it goes up into the mountains and there are parts of the road that are in bad shape. The trip started at about 6:20 pm, and about an hour later we arrived at the first village.

We were asking the driver the names of the places, we passed through Vallecito, Manrique (where we made a brief stop) and finally, a little before 8:00 pm, we arrived at La Sierra, where we stayed for the three days that this trip lasted. This town is located in the northwest of Cojedes state, San Carlos municipality, at about 1100 meters above sea level.

We stayed at the posada El Amanecer, where there are shared rooms for 12 people and also the option to sleep in hammocks and tents. There are bathrooms and showers for everyone and they also offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. I stayed in a tent, as soon as we arrived I went to the camping site to choose space and set up my shelter, it was already dark but there were some light bulbs illuminating those areas. Then I took a bath, I had something for dinner that I had brought and went to sleep.

We had been told not to miss the sunrise, so I was on standby to see it, and since I almost always get little sleep when I stay in a tent, I don't even need an alarm to wake up.

Also, here the roosters start crowing at about 3:30 in the morning 😄, one speaks and the other answers in the distance, and the donkeys can also be heard talking around. Well, these are the sounds of the countryside, you have to appreciate them, don't you think?

My tent / Mi carpa

As the day before we arrived at night, we couldn't see the scenery of the place, so in the morning we all wandered around the posada, its surroundings are a beauty.

Rolling through the mountains in Jeeps, setting up camp, and waking up to a 3:30 AM rooster concert, wow you had the full experience. Can't wait to see more from you from La Sierra

It really was an amazing experience 😃, thanks for appreciating! Stay tuned 😉.

Oh I'll definitely stay tuned, I enjoyed this one so much I followed you so I don't miss out on the rest 💯🔥❤️

Cojedes has beautiful places, and I keep hearing about new ones. Are there rivers there?

Yeah, it's a state that is not much promoted for tourism, and most of us think it is just plains, but it has many mountains as well, and rivers, waterfalls, wells and caves. It certainly surprised me! 😃

¡Hermoso!

Siií, ¡un lugar increíble! Saludos 🙂

¡Fantástico!
