Greetings, my dear hive fellows!
I hope you are enjoying the first day of the year in your own way. In my last post, I talked about The Most Underrated Tourist Attraction In Northern Beijing. I visited the area last spring, and Miyun City was very beautiful at that time. Today, I got the opportunity to explore the city in this freezing winter. I am lucky that the temperature is quite comfortable today. Also, I have walked along the city's Baihe Riverside Park, known as the Baihe Park, which provided some of the best views, and the the outdoor walking made me feel warm due to the physical activity. The bright sun with golden rays and the brown and dry nature give a different vibe in the area that will definitely attract you.
I have selected Miyun City for today's travel destination for several reasons; the first reason is that the city is far north of Huairou, where I am living. As a result, the natural beauty in this area is more beautiful and the weather is also more clear with clean air and blue sky. The second reason is that it takes less time to go there by public transport. And in the case of an emergency during my return time, I can rent a taxi as the distance is not so large that it will not cost me a lot. My third reason was that there is a mosque for the Muslim community, and I can find many halal meat shops nearby that are not available in my district. So, I had my supplementary plan of buying some halal beef from those shops, which are also cheaper than other areas as the place is kind of local vibes, far from the Beijing city centre.
It is winter, and I can not wake up so early, especially on weekends. It is not something that I like to do. So, in recent times, I have preferred travel destinations which are very close and take less time for me. As I have explored most of the attractive scenic areas in Huairou, I have chosen the neighboring district, Miyun, which is around 25 km from my living place, and there are several direct buses available as the main highway from Beijing City to Miyun City has passed at a close distance from my dormitory.
So, I have managed a direct bus very easily from the nearby bus stand. I left my dorm around 12:50, took lunch from the canteen, and set out for the walk to the bus stand around 1:05 pm. It takes around 15 minutes to get to the bus station, but unfortunately I missed the first bus I saw and waited around 20 minutes at the bus station for the best bus that will let me to get down to the nearest place to my destination.
It takes around 1 hour to reach the nearby bus station of the riverside park of Miyun City. The Baihe River has divided the whole of Miyun City into two sections, and there are dozens of connecting bridges on the river as the river is not big. The width of the river is very small, but the beauty of the river adds a huge natural beauty to the whole urban area. The riverside park Baihe Park is a park on the west side of the river and it is a long park with amazing beauty the pedestrians people can enjoy their walk as I did today.
Besides, the beautiful trees throughout the winter have made these trees lose their leaves, but the naked branches with the stunning sky blue in the background have created great surroundings in the park area. Besides the natural beauty, the park is a great place for public activity as there are so many gymnasium instruments. I saw a lot of people doing some physical activity with the help of these apparatus.
The whole park is a hub of activity, and the holiday has added more activity as people enjoy the outdoor activity more on the weekends rather than on work days. I have also noticed one thing: there were more older people than young people this far reason of Beijing Municipal. It means that the young people are in the city center area for their work and they are not living with their parents here. Also, I have noticed the same thing in buses here, which is opposite in the main downtown area of the Beijing Municipal.
The whole park is properly protected, and the Bathe River is completely frozen as it is in the middle of winter. But still, there is no snow in this area either, so in some points where they have maintained the water level with minimal water flow, unfrozen water is noticed. The frozen river has added less beauty, but the overall natural scenic area was really thrilling and enjoyable.
The golden rays of the sun were bright but not so hot, and the freezing temperature was a little bit higher today; we got a minimum temperature of 5 degrees centigrade today, which will be a negative 13 degrees tonight, and the maximum temperature tomorrow will fall to 3 degrees centigrade. So, the weather was an amazing benefit for me. I feel much more comfortable, and I was able to take these beautiful shots without any hurdles in the cold.
In conclusion, I can say that the northern City Miyun of the Beijing Municipal is blessed with an amazing natural beauty which has not decreased in this freezing cold also. Though the snowy surroundings will make a different view here, and I will try to pay a visit after we have snow here. That will be on another level, I guess. Such days will be evergreen in my memory. I am so lucky to have such opportunities to explore new areas to explore the beauty of nature.
I hope you like my photos of the beautiful Baihe Park by the frozen Baihe River, where I spent my first day of the new year exploring the beautiful nature. It was an amazing experience to experience such beauty in the winter nature in Miyun, to discover different natural beauty, and to enjoy my Beijing life! If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know in the comments, and I will try my best to answer them.
Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one.
Wish you a great day!
Though some trees are not contain leaves but they present another level of beauty.
Yeah, the blue and clear atmosphere adds another level of beauty to these trees. Thanks for your comment.

Dear Hassan!
I always admire your passion for travel!
I remember that Beijing's winter cold is harsh. I wonder why you travel in the cold of Beijing!
I read your articles today because I got cured of a cold a few days ago!
I hope you stay healthy in this winter cold!
Don no batt!
I am pleased that you are cured now. I love traveling and exploring whenever I get the time, and it has been my habitual activity from the very beginning of my college life in Bangladesh. The problem is that I can not get enough holidays to travel to far places. However, I enjoy traveling in all weather, and I feel Beijing's cold now fits me. Thanks for your comment.
I envy the fact that you are strong enough to enjoy traveling and exploring in China!😄
I am not strong, so traveling in the Indian subcontinent is dangerous for me!
The climate and diseases of the Indian subcontinent are dangerous to East Asians! Malaria and dysentery in particular are life-threatening to East Asians!
That's true; in that sense, Bangladesh is safer than India, as they mix cow dung with all of their foods, and are more unhealthy than Bangladeshi foods. But I suggest you not to eat any roadside foods and avoid roadside unhealthy restaurants as much as possible. There are a lot of good restaurants in India, Bangladesh or Pakistan, try them for avoiding dysentery. And drink bottled water always that can keep you healthy without any issues.
