Hello, Travel Lovers!
Have you ever heard of Ranca Upas? This time, I want to share an unforgettable personal experience with my two younger sisters, Hawa and Keysha, while visiting this natural tourist destination. Ranca Upas is located in Ciwidey, Bandung, and is known as a small paradise for nature lovers. With cool air, beautiful green scenery, and various exciting activities, this place is the right choice to escape from the tiring city routine.
THE BEGINNING OF THE JOURNEY: TOWARDS RANCA UPAS
Ranca Upas is located in Bandung City, not far from the city center. We started our journey from the terminal by bus to Ciwidey, joining an open trip group. Throughout the journey, our eyes were spoiled by the expanse of green tea gardens and the calming panorama of the mountains. It felt like the tiredness during the trip had disappeared, replaced by a sense of awe at the beauty of nature.
Upon arrival at the Ranca Upas gate, a different atmosphere was immediately felt. The cold and fresh air greeted us, reminding us how precious moments like this are amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.
MEETING THE DEER CAPTIVITY
As soon as we entered the tourist area, one of the main attractions, the deer captivity, immediately caught our attention. Hawa and Keysha looked very enthusiastic. "Sis, look at the deer!" Keysha exclaimed in an excited tone. We immediately bought carrots sold near the entrance as food for the deer.
When we approached the deer enclosure, the atmosphere immediately felt peaceful. Hawa and Keysha took turns feeding the deer with endless laughter. The moment when Keysha laughed happily because the carrot in her hand was snatched by a deer became one of the most memorable memories for me.
AFTERNOON EXPLORATION AND CULINARY AT RANCA UPAS
In addition to the deer captivity, we also walked around the camping area. Ranca Upas is known as a popular camping location, with a lush and calm forest atmosphere. Even though we only visited briefly, seeing the tents standing under the trees made us determined to try camping here someday.
Since we didn't bring any supplies, we stopped at one of the stalls near the entrance. The food choices were simple but perfect for the cold weather. Keysha chose warm grilled corn, while Hawa chose hot tea. For me, small moments like this felt very meaningful—gathering with family while enjoying the beautiful natural atmosphere.
OTHER ATTRACTIONS AT RANCA UPAS
Ranca Upas not only offers the beauty of a deer breeding ground. This place also has outbound facilities that are suitable for families or groups of friends. From flying fox, suspension bridges, to activities like cycling, everything is available to add to the excitement. There are also natural hot springs that can be a place to relax after being tired of activities.
For photography lovers, Ranca Upas also provides many interesting spots that are instagrammable, ranging from mountain landscapes, green forests, to stunning sunrises and sunsets.
SWEET MEMORIES THAT REMAINS
When the afternoon approached, we had to go home immediately. On the way to the exit, Keysha kept telling me about her deer feeding experience and her plan to bring her friends here. "Sis, let's come here again, for longer!" she said excitedly. I just smiled and nodded, while promising myself to plan a longer visit in the future.
This short trip became one of the moments that we will always remember. Ranca Upas is not only a tourist spot, but also a place where we found peace and simple happiness with our family. So, for those of you who are looking for a natural tourist destination that is both calming and fun, Ranca Upas is a choice that will not disappoint.
Come on, when are you coming here? Don't forget to bring your family or friends to enjoy this extraordinary natural beauty!
