In today's blog share a journey to a temple take you back in centuries. In my previous blogs I have share every bit of my journey to Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh India and today I will share a gam with you guys, the temple is unique in itself and it also has sort of museum in it and trust me guys it's exceptionally beautiful and unique.
So let's get started, as I was roaming around in the one and figuring out about the temples I should visit and not miss I came to know about this Temple called Rangnath temple in the Vrindavan. I want just temple unique as it has numerous another temples in it and yes there are different entry to each one of them. But let me show you the main gate, the picture below choose the main gate of rangnath Temple in Vrindavan. Bt the name you can guess the temple is dedicated to Ranganathan which is another form of Lord Vishnu itself.
This main gate somehow resembles the temple in Tamilnadu as it was huge and carved in such way. There were beautiful carvings of Gods in the temple long with some unique flower patterns and it was showing the South Indian artistry. In this huge towered gate you can see large wooden doors and to my surprise I found out that they are also made up of metal and some metal work is also done on them to enhance it's beauty. Most of the temples in Vrindavan are made in North Indian style as its obvious but this temple was unique and it shows the South Indian Architecture. There is a this unique tradition where you have to go at the entrance gate before getting in. So I did follow the ritual and entered the the temple.
And now you can see the huge campus of the temple and an corner you can see people have capital shoes and are walking barefeet. It is believe that are shoes and slippers has some negativity as we are move from places to places and step on a different things and areas with maybe negative in energy, so it's advised to leave your slippers and shoes outside the main temple.
It was so peaceful there but let me tell you there were monkeys and you have to stay aware while taking pictures and you have to keep all your essential including your specs in your bag otherwise they will be gone within a flip of switch. Also in the pictures above you can see some the top of some Temple inside the campus. Curious to know about them so I went inside.
And then I saw this huge and beautiful temple of Rangnath Ji which is unique and beautiful in itself. The temple was constructed around 19th century by wealthy businessman known as Seth Govind Das. The architecture of this temple is inspired by the famous temple called Ranganathaswamy in Srirangam in Tamil Nadu.
By just looking at the beauty of Temple I was mesmerized and there were lots of people in the temple running to join evening Aarti. I ran too and entered the temple.
This is how its look from inside and you can see people here praying I am completely lost in bhakti. Also this sample is among one of the largest temple in North India with attract devotees from all over the world. The another thing that attract attention inside this sample is the historical sculpture and artifacts that are kept in a room and to me it seemed like a museum but it's actually not labelled as museum. In the pictures below you can see different sculptures that belong to the diabetes and they are quite old and to preserve and protect them they are kept separately in a room.
Chariot And Sculptures Of Dieties
These are basically the chariot that are used annually during a festival where devotees pull the chariot through different streets of Vrindavan. This is Swarna Ratham and is used during the Brahmotsav festival in the March.
These chariot are unique and made up of metal and each diety has it's own chariot. I have never joined such festival where you have to pull it through the streets but now by looking at them I'm interested to join the festivals.
This is a metal sculpture of lord Hanuman Ji, like every other sculptures this one is also unique and nowadays you won't find such sculptures anywhere. Do you Guys know how to read Hindi? Mostly no, right? The names of the sculptures are also written , as you can see in the pictures.
The whole room was calm and peaceful and everybody there was focused on the articles in front of us. The room was almost full and everyone there was taking pictures, searching in the net about them.
I found all these things unique and loved it. Which one is among all ?
That's all for today's blog and I hope you enjoyed the picture as much as I enjoyed photographing them.
