🥇 📷 Pamir Highway. Tajikistan. Part 1. Road Views and Lake Iskanderkul by @sharker

And also, a small preface. I decided that this story will not be a detailed, ordered narrative about the route — day by day, place by place. This series of posts is rather flashes of images from different places in Tajikistan: a photo story, a general impression of the country and the trip, what I saw and remembered and what I want to share, about Tajikistan in general and the Pamir Highway in particular. And I hope to post more detailed stories and photos from some of the places separately later.

🥈 Entering Tsavo West National Park, Kenya by @dtam

Tsavo West National Park, located in southeastern Kenya, is part of the larger Tsavo ecosystem, one of the country’s oldest and largest wildlife reserves. Covering nearly 9,000 square kilometers, Tsavo West is renowned for its dramatic landscapes, including volcanic hills, dense woodlands, and open plains, which create a diverse habitat for a wide variety of wildlife. It is a very different ecosystem than the other major parks in East Africa, which gives us a chance to see some different creatures. One of our first sightings in the park was a tiny antelope that could fit in your handbag, called a dik dik.

🥉 Place du capitole - França by @name0

The Capitole has a metro station that makes access to this emblematic location in the heart of Toulouse easy. The metro symbol highlights the modernity integrated into a city with so much history. This station is one of the busiest in the city, due to its central location and proximity to tourist attractions. The metro is a great way to explore Toulouse, and when you get off at Capitole station, you're just steps away from some of the city's most historic buildings, such as the town hall and the famous Capitole square.
