🥇 Sicily's Hidden Gems by @larissalugo
Our first stop was Santo Stefano di Quisquina home to the Andromeda Theater, constructed by local sculptor Lorenzo Reina, who once worked as a shepherd. This theater is known as one of the highest-altitude theaters in the world. While it hosts music and theatrical performances, what struck me most was its architectural and artistic design. The theater resembles an ancient temple, perhaps even a Sumerian one. At the entrance a sculpture of the Sumerian god Enki greets visitors. Some historians speculate that this god, believed to have come to Earth 50.000 years ago, might have been an extraterrestrial. Lorenzo incorporated numerous symbolic elements into his design. For instance, the seating area consists of 108 blocks, representing the 108 stars in the Andromeda constellation.

🥈 Ein Tag in Bautzen: Natur, Geschichte und die Magie der Begegnungen | A day in Bautzen: Nature, history and the magic of encounters (de/en) #47 by @vanje
Our journey took us from Bad Muskau to Bautzen. It is often referred to as the “city of towers” - a city full of history, charm and natural beauty. Bautzen is also known for its Bautz'ner mustard, which is popular throughout Germany. In addition, Bautzen is the cultural center of the Sorbs, a West Slavic minority native to Upper Lusatia. But before we reached our destination, there was a small challenge: 30 km in the wrong direction! 😅 Thanks to our satnav and good mood, strengthened by the encounter with a nice camper the evening before, we still arrived safely.

🥉 The Puerto Deseado Coastal Path by @parissousa
Walking along the coast we came across what looked like a ship stranded on land, as if it had been shipwrecked. Rust, vegetation and the passage of time had destroyed its structure, but it still retained its imposing appearance. The scene was both desolate and impressive.
