Each person think in their ways. May be he thought you would wear a gorgeous dress. You choose comfortably but from his side he might think you didn't take him serious and for that reason you wore normal dress. it depends of perspective. By the way, I don't have any dating experience 😅.

Hehe. I think you are right but everyone is not the same. Some love simplicity and some love gorgeous. May be that person didn't like simplicity and finally it was not a person for you.
