Гуляя по нашим дворам и паркам, то тут , то там я снова попадаю в прошлое - в истории, которые казалось бы давно позабыты.
Walking through our yards and parks, here and there I again find myself in the past - in stories that seem to have long been forgotten.

Мои дети измеряют дворовые лужи после летнего ливня. Стайка друзей собралась у края гигантской лужи. Ясно, что в следующее мгновение компания будет стоять по колено в воде.
И снова я слышу призывное: “Кто не с нами, тот-вонючка”.
Many years later: I look into the courtyard from the loggia of the ninth floor. My kids are measuring yard puddles after a summer rainstorm. A flock of friends gathered at the edge of a giant puddle. It is clear that in the next moment the company will be knee-deep in water. And again I hear the call: "Whoever is not with us is a stinker."
Не далее как вчера.
Наследница по прямой бороздит игродром, осваивая очередную лестницу и горку, а я слышу за спиной как ватага мальчишек прыгает вниз с высокого парапета : “Кто не с нами, тот-гей!"
No more than yesterday. The heiress surfs the playing field in a straight line, mastering the next ladder and slide, and behind me I hear a gang of boys jumping down from a high parapet: “Who is not with us, he is gay!”

А потім все закінчується "кто нє с намі - тот укроп" і вперед геноцидити в чужу країну. Скільки Україна вичухується з того совкового болота і то, купа старпьорів ностальгуючих, а росіяни і досі там, навіть ті, хто того совка і не бачив ніколи.
