I did make an incredible dish with the chicken of the woods, still have to finish the leftovers.😋
After the first day of rain, I headed towards a spot that I've had my best luck in the past, but before going down that path, decided to cut through the woods to a different trail.
Kind of a crazy story but got stuck and ended up walking from one fallen tree to another. They were actually quite a ways up above the ground, and on the second trunk, look what I found:
Oysters. Not sure which species.
It was so funny, what were the odds I would find them there? Made me think of a comment you made on one of my posts.
seems you just tuned to the right tune (i.e. on the same wave with mushrooms... which is great and very important, to discover them!)
well, for this comment: one may count that a joke (and theres percent of a joke fraction there indeed) but on another hand, that may have a solid part pof a truth in it!
ps. a great harvest of oysters - good food supply for 2 days.
